EVENING AUXILIARY
The Evening Auxiliary met at
the home of Mrs. Clarence Has-
kett, Wednesday evening. Presid-
ent Mrs. Jack Gilmour presided,
and read the Christmas story.
Mrs. Lancaster repeated her
paper on "Christmas Wrap-
pings".
It was decided to purchase
candy for the Sunday School
Christmas party. Mrs. Kay Egan
and Mrs. Haskett were in charge
of the refreshments. The next
meeting will be held at the home
of Mrs. Clare Stanley with the
group attending the "Week of
Prayer" service first.

The Christmas meeting of the
Whalen UCW was held in the
church hall Wednesday afternoon
with 12 members present.
Mrs. McLeod Mills was assist-
ed in the worship service by
Mrs. Hamilton Hodgins and Mrs.
Cecil Squire.
Mrs. William French was in
charge of the business. Plans
were made for the ladies to cater
to the Biddulph Central School
teachers and trustees banquet
with their wives and husbands,
December 15.
Each member donated fruit,
eggs and a white gift for the

good recovery in St. Joseph's
Hospital, after receiving a badly
broken leg while working on the

turned home from Victoria Hos-
pital this week.

Mt. Carmel is spending a few
days in Toronto visiting with Mr.
