This situation existed at Mo-

when Twinkle's Adios owned by
Eric Mcllroy of Grand Bend,
slated to go in the eighth race,
was snowbound back on the farm
south of the resort.
The race was won by Stoney
Burke with Ron Feagan of God-
erich in the sulky. This was the
first of two wins of the night
for the Goderich born teamster
giving him a season total of 207
victories.
Feagan is attempting to sur-
pass his Canadian record of 213
wins set last year. He is almost
sure of passing his 1965 mark
as racing continues at Mohawk
until Saturday night of this week
and then Feagan is expected to
carry on at the Western FairSat-

Exeter's three minor clubs
Competing in Shamrock league
action came up with one of their
best weeks of the young season.
Playing on home ice, Wednes-
day, the local youngsters came
out of the triple header skirmish
with a win and a tie for a total
of three points against their Lam-
beth opposition.
In the first fray of the night,
the Lambeth pee wees scored
three times in each period to
record a 9-0 shut-out win.
Meeting in the in-between con-
test, the bantam representatives
from the two towns battled to a
2-2 tie. The Exeter midgets rung
up a 2-0 victory in the nightcap
to even out the team points for the
night,
A pair of quick goals before
the halfway mark of the second
period accounted for the midget
win in the final of the evening.
Right winger Jim Hayter notch-
ed the first counter single hand-
ediy at the 3,10 mark and Larry
header
Laye made it 2-0 about six min-
utes later on a pass from Mike
Hoy.
Glen Stirs, guarding the Ex-
eter cage in gaining the shut-out,

but you couldn't prove that theory
by the performance of the Exeter
bantams,
For about the fourth time this
year, they failed to hang onto a
lead that they managed to carry
into the last minute of play.
With fifty seconds left in the
genie and Exeter in front
Mike Black scored on a solo
effort to bring the Lambeth boys
on an even keel.
