on carburation and
ignition problems
Now you can get twice the traction on glare ice and plow
through deep snow with Goodyear "Safety Spikes". The
secret: over 100 Tungsten Carbide Steel Spikes anchored
in the deep-cleat tread, They stick out just far enough to
give tremendous "bite" on ice or snow, but don't hamper
dry pavement driving. For the ultimate in safety and longer
tire life, Safety Spike tires are built with Tufsyn rubber and
have a 3-T triple-tempered cord body. "Safety Spike"
winter tires are available in the famous Goodyear "Sure
Grip" and "Suburbanite" winter tire tread designs, plus
economy "Suburbanite retreads".
