Carbon arc welding was invented
in 1885. The two Pee Wee games on
Saturday morning very close with
scores of s - 4 and 2 - 1.
The Maple Leafs in the first
game of the morning defeated
the Canadians 5 - 4.
It was almost all Perry Stover
for the Leafs as he scored four
big goals, but the final and win-
ning goal was scored by Brian
Tuckey, It was a one man show
for the Canadians as well with
Peter Kleinstiver getting all four
goals for his team.
The second game between the
Red Wings and Black Hawks re-
sulted in a 2 - 1 win for the
Red Wings. Randy Gilfillan and
Bill Van Bergen each scored a
goal for the winners while a
newcomer to the hockey wars
Wayne Simpson scored the only
goal for the Black Hawks.
Games this Saturday: 8-9,
Maple Leafs vs Black Hawks;
9-10, Canadians vs Red Wings.
In Novice hockey, Boston de-
feated Rangers 2-0 on goals
scored by Brian Taylor and
Leslie Page,
Goal production is dropping
off in Squirt hockey, no doubt
due to the fine goaltending on
these teams, Ken Pinder and
Danny McIver each scored two
goals with a single goal by Billy
Wilson,
The Novice All-Stars defeated
Huron at Lucan on Saturday by
a score of 12-1. This Saturday
at 3:30 they travel to Lucan to
play possibly one of the strong-
est Novice teams in the groups,
Stoneybrook.
The Exeter Midget Centennial
team won their round robin series
with Forest and St. Marys by
defeating St. Marys in the cement
town on Saturday night by a
score of 8-3.

Sharks move up
take dart lead
A steady climb during the past
five weeks came to a climax
last week as the Dart Sharks
moved into sole possession of
first place in the Exeter Legion
mixed dart league.
The Sharks picked up four
points in Friday's weekly action
to up their season total to 26,
one more than the previous lead-
ers, the Hairpins,
