Mrs. Donald Bray gave the theme for the Meeting "Thanicsgiving,t. Mrs. Glen Stewart, Glen Stewart and Donald Bray assisted with the worship service. A piano solo was given by Mrs. William Rohde; a reading by Mrs. Bray. Mr. Bray called on the guest speak- ers for the evening, Rev. Stewart and Mrs. Miner who spoke on their work with the Indians at Georgine Islands in Lake Simcoe and also showed pictures. They were thanked by Mrs. Bray. Lunch was served by the com- mittee in charge, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bray and Mr. and Mrs. Olen Stewart. Uwe, Proceeds are donated to the Retarded Children's School at Stratford. Mrs. Morrissey's son-in-law Peter Frayne, former Exeter boy, was one of the stylists, His wife Eileen acted as one of his models. Eight members were so honored, and to each was presented a cup and saucer bear- ing- the Institute crest. T-A photo MISSIONARY AT EUB The EUB Church enjoyed the ministry of a missionary-on- furlough from the Niger Repub- lic. Miss Della Watson, whose home is in Fenelon Falls, on Saturday evening showed slides and curios relating to her work. Sunday she told of certa Christians in Niger and of the impact they have made upon oth- ers by their witness. Miss Wat- son is a teacher by profession and uses three languages in her work, English, French and Hausa. The people of Niger are not without a sense of humour. One of the curios was a ladle used in eating sorghum gruel, a staple of their diet. It is fashioned from a gourd and is carefully decorat- ed especially on the outside of the bowl, with geometric designs applied by burning. Recognizing the temptation to turn over the ladle in order to admire the pat- tern they have named it "sha bar kallo" which means "Drink. Stop looking."
