the first graduation to be held
at the London Teachers' College
on Saturday. Sharon and Pat were
among the graduates. Following
the graduation ceremony they had
dinner at the Latin Quarter.

Friday night and fractured her
hip. She is a patient in St. Jo-
seph's Hospital, London.

Missionary League Convention at
St. Thomas Saturday. Miss Velma
Math, missionary nurse at the
Lutheran Church's hospital at
Wandoor, India, was guest speak-
er. The 60 bed hospital was es-
tablished by the International Lu-
theran Women's Missionary
League.
At the meeting $6500 was al-
located for visual aids for deaf
persons at Belleville and Milton
schools and toward construc-
tion of new churches at London,
Kitchener, St. Catharines and
Hamilton.
DASHWOOD DAINTY DINERS
The first meeting of 4-H girls
club No. 1 was held in the com-
munity centre with 10 girls and
the leaders, Mrs. Gordon Bender
and Miss Diane Weber present.
Officers were elected with Sharon
Martine president and Theresa
Hartman secretary and press re-
porter. Notes were given on the
value of good food.
The second meeting was held
at the community centre Sep-
tember 24 with 11 girls and the
leaders present. Notes were giv-
en on reasons for the food guide
for health. Demonstrations were
given on how to make a white
sauce, croutons, and vegetable
casserole.
GUENTHER REUNION
Sixty-five descendants of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Guen-
ther gathered for their first re-
union at Dashwood Community
Centre, Sunday, September 18.
Games were organized for the
children while the adults renew-
ed friendships and reminisced
about other days.
Guests were present from
Gary, Ind., Detroit, Windsor,
Tillsonburg, Leamington, Port
Colborne, Toronto, Oakv 11 1 e,
London, Exeter, Elimville and
Dashwood.
The second reunion is planned
for August, 1967 with the follow-
ing officers: president, Harry
Guenther, Windsor; vice-presi-
dent, Mrs. Letta Taylor; sec-
retary-treasurer, Mrs. Syd Bak-
er; sports committee, Mrs. Bob
Rankin, Tillsonburg and Mrs.
Charles Guenther, Toronto.

Homemaking Club No. 2 was held
Monday September 19 with 12
girls present and the leaders,
Mrs. Eben Weigand and Mrs.
Stuart Wolfe, present.
Officers are: president, Beth
Snell; vice-president, Margaret
Merner; secretary and press re-
porter, Joanne Hayter.
Pamphlets and sheets on the
supper club were given out. The
next meeting will be October 3 at
the home of Beth Snell.

The first meeting of the pro-
ject “The Club Girl Entertains"
was held Wednesday, Sept. 21
at the Daynard home with eight
girls and two leaders present.
The election of officers was
held. President is Carol Ann
Dow; vice president, Marg Word-
en; secretary-treasurer, Elean-
or Kemp; press reporter, Bon-
nie Miller; telephone girls, Judy
Jeffery, Janet Allen and Heather
Daynard.
The objectives of this club
were read by the leader Mrs.
Douglas and the hostess. Refer-
ence files were discussed. Our
old club name Hibbert's Little
Lassies #2 was adopted for use
in this project also. Record book
covers were discussed. Mrs.
Daynard demonstrated and spoke
to us on flower arranging.
