In this test of speed, any calf entered in regular competition will be eligible to dash the dist- ance of the stand. Lots of thrills and a few altercations will be in store for the spectators as the boys and girls try to push, pull or beg their beast across the finish line. Only halters are to be allowed in guiding the calves in the right direction along with any encour- agement that can be rendered by hand. Youngsters under 14 are el- igible for the competition for $10 in prize money provided by livestock shipper, William Green. Children of the local and area public and separate schools will be playing an Important part in the 1966 Exeter Fall Fair, They will be participating in the gala parade that starts Thursday's proceedings. Educational works, including writing, art and booklets Will be on display for fair goers in addition to exhibits of fruits and vegetables prepared by the elementary school students. Mrs. Bev Morgan, program convener, was in charge of the meeting of which the theme was "Education". The Scripture was read by Mrs. Donald Bray.
