Golfer records
ace at Bayview
A native of Hensall, Dennis
Mock received the thrill of a
life time on the weekend while
golfing at Bayview Golf Course
half mile south of St, Joseph,
on the Blue Water Highway. Den-
nis got the first Hole-In-One to
be scored at the new course on
the 190 yard ninth hole.
The feat was witnessed by a
foursome standing on the ninth
green and also by the co-manager
Archie Wright who was out talk-
ing to the foursome. Dennis will
have his name engraved on the
Hole-In-One trophy that was don-
ated early this year by Mousseau
and Parkin s, businessmen of
Zurich.
Dennis, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ron Mock of Hensall, resides
in London where he is attending

Brinsley United Church Women
were invited to the manse at the
home of Mrs. John Davies in
Ailsa Craig on September 1.
Mrs. Karl Pickering acted as
convenor and read the scripture
followed by a reading by Mrs.
Earl Morley.
Rev. John Davies then gave an
interesting introduction to the
new study book "Growth of the
Church in Canada".
Report was given that a bale
of 74 lbs of clothing had been
sent overseas. Barbecue date for
1967 was set for July 12; church
cleaning to be September 9 be-
fore the church anniversary to
be held September 11. Lunch was
served.

spent several days with her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

Donald and Robert are vacation-
ing this week at Restoule.
Mrs. Jack Corbett is a patient
in South Huron Hospital, Exeter.
Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Mousseau,
Lori, Frankie and Brad, vaca-
tioned last week at Milford
Manor, Muskoka.
Mr. & Mrs. Don Rigby re-
turned to Blenheim after spend-
ing the past two weeks with Mr.
& Mrs. Harry Snell and Mr. &
Mrs. Stewart McQueen.

As a new member of the staff,
P. S. Seddon is looking forward
to his responsibilities as the head
of the Commercial Department at
SHDHS.
He was educated at Toronto at
Bloor Collegiate and The Uni-
versity of Toronto, from which
he graduated in Commerce and
Finance. He is also a Chartered
Accountant and graduated from
the Ontario College of Educatior
as a Commercial Specialist.
He has had many years of
business and teaching exper-
ience, being with the Durham
County District High School
Board this last year. He has been
around the world and has visited
Europe and other parts of the
world frequently, and has just
returned from a visit to the Com-
munist Countries this summer.

Mrs. Yearsley received both her
elementary and secondary school
education there. She attended the
University of Western Ontario,
where she graduated with her
Bachelor of Arts Degree in psy-
chology.
After having worked atQueen's
Park in Toronto, Mrs. Yearsley
joined the teaching staff at Bow-
manville District High School
last January.
Sports activities, music, read-
ing and the theatre are a few of
Mrs. Yearsley's interests.
She and her husband will be
residing in London.
The atmosphere weighs as
much as a layer of water 34 feet
deep.

to visit Huron

Mrs. Oliver Geiger of Fenelon

Gore Bay have returned after
spending a 10 day vacation with

Mr. & Mrs. Laird Mickle were
in Toronto last week attending
the CNE and were guests of their
cousin, Miss Helen Boyle.

returned from a pleasant five
weeks tour of the West return-
ing home by the States. They
travelled by car a distance of
over 8,000 miles.

The party will be in Ontario
studying farm procedures.
Two Irish farmers will com-
pete in the match in classes
open to visiting plowmen.
Two Canadians will return the
visit when the Northern Ireland
