Mrs. Robert Fagan and Mrs.
Gayle Robb of London, were joint
hostesses for a miscellaneous
shower held at the home of the
former, for London friends. Miss
Cheryl Glaab of London and Miss
Catherine Kelly of Granton were
joint hostesses when they enter-
tained Medway High School
friends, and gave the bride-elect
a linen shower at Miss Glaab's
home.

Couple celebrate
46 years wed
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rogers
(the former Edna Culbert of West
McGillivray) were married in the
Parkhill Presbyterian M ease,
August 18, 1920 by the Rev. Walt-
er Nichol.
The couple spent most of their
married life on a farm, retiring
to Frank St., Lucan in 1963.
Sunday August 21 the couple
celebrated their 46th wedding
anniversary at their home with
a family reunion. Those present
included Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Faulder of B r in sle y, Misses
Sandra and Sharon Faulder, Mr.
and Mrs. Ronald Clark, Cheryl,
Kathy and David, Mr. and Mrs.
W. J. Clark, all of London. Mr.
and Mrs. George Lightfoot,
Brenda and Larry of Ailsa Craig
and Mrs. Lav,ina Mooney of
Kingsville.
Exchange vows in Lucan
Mrs, G. W. Sach provided tra-
ditional wedding music and ac-
companied Mrs. M yl e s Arm-
strong of Dervie.
At a reception and dinner held
in the church's new (E addition,
catered to by the UCW the bride's
mother received in a two-piece
gown of lime chiffon and taffeta
with matching accessories and
white gardenia and stephanotis
corsage. She was assisted by the
groom's mother who chose a
street-length two-piece cham-
pagne lace ensemble with mink
shade accessories and corsage of
orange colored Talisman roses.
For a honeymoon trip to Wash-
ington USA the bride changed to
a two-piece burgundy lace gown,
with matching hat, black acces-
sories, and white gardenia cor-
sage.
The young couple will make
their home In London. The bride
and groom are graduates of the
London Teachers' College. The
groom will be teaching in the
Tweedsmuir school and the bride
in Kensall Park in Septembeit .
A Comedy Spectacular
Standards of pink gladioli and
pink baby mums formed the set-
ting in the Lucan United Church,
Saturday August 13, at 3 pm for
a double ring ceremony uniting
in wedlock, Ilene Maude Donald-
son and William Brent Bamford.
Rev. G. W. Sach officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Harold Cobleigh of RR 4
Denfield and the late Robert Don-
aldson and the groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Bamford of
RR 5 London.
Given in marriage by her step-
father, Mr. Harold Cobleigh, the
bride chose a floor-length white
organza gown featuring short
sleeves and scoop neckline. The
empire style bodice and the bot-
tom of the skirt was adorned with
lace. A long detachable cathedral
train. cascaded from the should-
ers. A matching rosette head-
piece held her French illusion
veil She carried a cascade of
white roses and ivy.

London, as maid of honor, Miss
Margaret Sach of Lucan and Miss
Brenda Caverhill of Ilderton as
bridesmaids, and Miss Wendy
Ryan as junior bridesmaid were
gowned alike in floor length em-
pire style gowns of melon colored
satin back crepe, short sleeves
and wedding-ring headpieces.
Five-year-old Louise Killam
and four-year-old sister, April,
made charming little flower girls
in their floor-length empire style
gowns of white organZa, trimmed
with melon crepe to match the
other attendants and carrying
baskets of shasta daisies, cushion
mums and fern.
Mr. Jim Speiran of London was
best man and Messrs Keith Rant-
ing of Ottawa, David Banting of
Kapuskasing and Glynn Werwidk
of Toronto were ushers.
