was matron of honor wearing a
floor-length gown of turquoise
spray chiffon. Bridesmaids,
Misses Nellie and Dianne Ver-
hoof, R. R. 5 Clinton, were gown-
ed similarly to the matron of
honor. They carried white mums.
Flower girl, Miss Ruth Anne
Nixon, wore a white floor-length
gown with turquoise accessories.
She carr ied white mums and
roses.
Jack Roorda, R. R. 5 Clinton,
was groomsman and John Roorda
and Arie Verhoef ushered guests.
A wedding reception was held
in the church hail where the
bride's mother received guests
in a two-piece dress of rose-
beige lace. The groom's mother
chose a dark rose dress of rayon
brocade.
For travelling in northern and
eastern Ontario, the bride donned
a beige wool suit with brown
accessories and orange Delight
roses.
The couple will reside in
Brucefield.

last week at Clear Lake In the
Rideau Lakes Chain. With them

Mrs. Don Taylor for a couple
of days, The latter also visited
with Mr, & Mrs. Orland Taylor

Mrs. Janet Allen of Half Moon
Bay, B.C. is visiting with her
son-in-law and daughter, Cpl.
& Mrs. M. L. Fairfield and
family, Andrew St. They have
all returned from a three-week
trip to Niagara Falls, Ottawa
and Collins Bay where the Fair-
field Homestead, the oldest frame
house in Ontario, is situated. It
belongs now to the St. Lawrence
Seaway Parks Authority and is
inhabited by cousins of Cpl. Fair-
field.
Mr. & Mrs. J. McIlraith, Tor-
onto, attended the Hamilton re-
union in Seaforth Park Sunday
and visited Monday with Mr. &
Mrs. William Sillery,
Mr. & Mrs. Fred Walters and
family and Miss Wendy Ryckman
spent the past week holidaying
at their cottage at Chesley Lake.
Mrs. Norman Ford and Mr.
& Mrs. Howard Phelps and son.
Gregory of Detroit visited a few
days with Mrs. Frank Taylor.
Mrs. Hendrick succeeds Mrs.
Hilton Laing who has been librar-
ian for 14 years. Her duties
commence today, Thursday,Sep-
tember 1.

and read a great deal" said Mrs.
Hendrick "and to tell you the
truth I have sometimes envied
the librarian who works with
books". Mrs. Hendrick has ten
years teaching experience hav-
ing taught five years before her
marriage and five years at Win-
chelsea school a few years ago.
The last few days Mrs, Laing
and Mrs. Hendrick have been
arranging the gift of 250 books
from CFB, Centralia which is
quite an asset to the library.

The Elimville South Line Pic-
nic was held Sunday Aug. 21 at
Ipperwash. There were 89 pre-
sent. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kers-
lake, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bell
were the table committee.
After dinner a ball game and
swimming was enjoyed, later re-
turning to the park for supper.
The table committee for 1967
are Mr. and Mrs. Everett Skinner
and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Browne.

home from St. Joseph's Hospital
last Monday where she underwent
ear surgery last week.
