Maid of honor was Miss Sue Anne Coxon, Zurich, who wore a yellow crepe dress in empire style with lace bodice. A yellow rose cluster with veil formed her headpiece and she carried white shasta daisies with moss green velvet ribbons. Edward Johns, RR 3 Exeter, was best man and Grant Skinner, brother of the bride, and Wayne Prance ushered guests. A reception was held in the church rooms where the bride's mother received guests in a crepe sheath in queen's blue with lace bodice, white accessories and pink rose corsage. Fletcher, Victoria St., followed the mar- riage of their daughter, Carol Lee Fletcher, to Rex Ulysses Balentine, son of Mrs. Helen Balentine and the late Ulysses Balentine, Cupertino, California, which was held in James Street United Church, Saturday, Au- gust 6 at 2:30 pm. Baskets of white gladioli and white standards, also of white gladioli and candelabra with tall tapers formed the setting for the ceremony performed by Rev. S. E. Lewis. Mr. William Wick- ett, Kingston, was at the organ console. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a gown of ivory silk and lace de Venise styled with empire waistline. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a square neckline and elbow- length sleeves banded in the lace de Venise. The lace was re- peated in the floor-length skirt. Her cathedral-length veil of ap- pliqued Brussels lace fell from a formed bouffant bonnet of the veil. She carried a cascade of gardenias and stephanotis. The maid of honor, Mrs. Percy Gladdy, Sarnia, and bridesmaids, Miss Marjory Cooke, and Miss Jacqueline Lofthouse, San Fran- cisco, Cal., wore formal sheath gowns of French rose crepe with matching picture hats. They car- ried cascades of pink miniature carnations. The flower girl, Brenda Fletcher, Exeter, niece of the bride, wore a long gown of white eyelet with empress waist- line and rose sash and carried a white basket of Sweetheart rosebuds and stephanotis. Billy Neal, Langstaffe, in morning suit was ringbearer. William Wade Jr., Menlo Park, Cal. was best man and Robert Fletcher and Beaton Neal, Lang- staffe, ushered guests. At the reception the bride's m other received guests in a floor-length ensemble of silk chiffon in tones of blue-violet. Over the sleeveless bodice was worn a matching cape with jewel neckline and covering the shoul- ders. She wore a matching hat with multi-colored sequins and rose orchid corsage. The groom's mother chose a formal gown of sea green crepe with darker green chiffon stole. Her hat was of mesh and melon- colored flowers and her corsage was a white orchid. Refreshments were served from a pink marquee on the lawn carpeted in dark rose. , The bride's table was centred with an arrangement of cream, pink and cranberry gladioli arranged around a hurricane lantern shade and the wedding cake.
