Bylaw No. 2, 1959 Amended by By-Law No. 11, 1965 states that all owners, possessors or harbourers of dogs shall not permit their animals to run at large at anytime unless under complete control of a responsible person, by the use of leash or other device, ALSO All owners, possessors or harbourers of dogs must procure a license for such animal, regardless of age. Due to this controversial Bylaw being handed over to your Police Department for enforcement we respectfully request that all persons co-operate and abide by the Bylaw. We wish to assure all persons that where a case can be proven, the person or persons in question will receive a summons, which may result in fines up to a maximum of $50.00. It is not the intention of this Department to be harsh, but the Bylaw has to be enforced. All persons will be subject to this Bylaw regardless of who they may be. There will be no exceptions made. The co-operation of all will be appreciated. C. H. Mr. Mallet was born in Ex- eter. He was employed at the Central Hotel when he enlisted with the 161st Battalion and serv- ed overseas. He had beena mem- ber of the Exeter Band for many years and during the training of the Battalion he enlivened their marches with his kettle drum. On his return from overseas he made his home in London but frequently returned to Exeter on special occasions to play with the Band. He was a familiar figure at the kettle drum on Exeter Fair Days. His wife, the former Lydia Finkbeiner of Crediton, prede- ceased him. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur W. (Dorothy) Hynd, London, and one son, Clifford H., Detroit. Funeral services were con- ducted by Rev. A. E. Duffield of Dundas Centre United Church, Saturday, June 25 at the James A. Harris funeral home, London, with interment in Crediton ceme- tery. Pallbearers were six members of Exeter Legion, R. E. Pooley, Norman Norry, Maurice Quance, Will Cutting, Rufus Kestle and Cliff Brintnell. GRADE III Mrs. J.
