The 1st Crediton Cub Pack
wound up their current season
Saturday, June 18 when 20 boys
along with their leaders and driv-
ers toured through the Eisenbach
Museum at Grand Bend.
On their return to Crediton
Community Park, they were join-
ed by their parents and other fam-
ily members for games ending
with a picnic supper. Mr. and
Mrs. H. Sisson, cub leaders of
Exeter, were guests and con-
ducted some of the activities.
Mrs. Robert Graham of Cen-
tralia, who has been assistant
cub master for the past season
was presented with a gift by Akela
Mrs. Harold Thorne. Mrs. Char-
les Browning an assistant cub
master for several years was un-
able to be present for the pre-
sentation. The two assistant lead-
ers are leaving the Pack due to
other commitments. Mrs. Thorne
presented each boy with a gift
to show her appreciation for good
behaviour all year and their fine
showing at a camperee held re-
cently at Bannockburn Bridge.
The group committee stated that
they are very proud of their Cub
Pack and grateful to their lead-
ers and parents for their fine co-
operation.

They came to pay tribute to
Mrs. Paton, anoutstanding mem-
ber, who worked hard and render-
ed valuable service to the order.
Mrs. Paton has served in many
offices in the Lodge, being WM
for six years, secretary 14 years,
chaplain three years, guardian
for two years and pianist for many
years. WM Mrs. Day, in paying
tribute, said "As impressive as
the list of officers in attendance
is, it is little in comparison to
the sincerity with which Mrs,
Paton fulfilled her offices. She
was always doing the little things
which contribute so much to the
harmony of our meetings and the
well being of her church and
community."
Following the lodge meeting
75 sat down to a banquet served
by Victoria Lodge. The table was
centered with a beautiful cake
bearing the dates 1921-1966 and
decorated in lodge colors.

Spiritual Life was taken by Mrs.
G. E. Wenzel.
The business was conducted
by the president Mrs. Ervin Ratz
and Secretary Mrs, Lloyd Lam-
port. There will be a joint meet-
ing with Dashwood and Zurich
to be held at Dashwood July 19.
Starting in September the WS-
WS will again hold their meet-
ings the first Thursday of each
month. Lunch was served.
HOLD PICNIC
The Crediton Messengers held
their picnic at the United Church
June 16 after school with 16
members present. Leaders Mrs.
Douglas Galloway and Mrs. Earl
Neil presided over the games.
Winners were; lawn bowling,
Brenda Neil, Elva Finkbeiner;
eating marshmallow on string,
Bonnie Clarke, Dianne Hodge;
dropping pennies into milk bot-
tle, Brenda Neil's team.
A game of ball was enjoyed
and lunch was served.
SHOWER FOR BRIDE
Last Wednesday evening 22
relatives and friends gathered
to honor Ruth Green of London
with a bridal shower. The show-
er was held at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Varley, brother
and sister-in-law of the bride.
Games and contests were en-
joyed. An address was read by
Mrs. Lavina Varley and the gifts
were presented by Valerie Fink-
beiner.
After the gifts were opened
Ruth extended her thanks. Lunch
and a social hour followed.

MISSING ERWIN GEBEL
`Come home'
parents plea
"please come hornet"
This is the plea of Mr. and
Mrs. Kurt Gebel, RR 1 Clande-
boye, contained in an advertise-
ment they placed in a district
daily newspaper.
They seek word about their son,
Erwin Gebel, 16, who has been
missing from his home since May
5. On that day he boarded a bus
to go to H. B. Beal Technical
School in London where he was
a Grade 10 student.
"There was no reason why he
should have disappeared like
this", says his mother, Mrs. Ge-
bel. !'There was no argument at
home and he was a top student."
Mrs. Gebel claimed her songave
no indication of being dissatisfied
either with his home or school.
It is reported he did not attend
school classes on the day he dis-
appeared. He took no clothes with
him and had only $1.50 in cash
on him.
When last seen, Erwin was
wearing a three-quarter length
olive green coat, matching pants,
a yellow shirt, white socks and
desert boots. He is 5 feet, ten
inches tall, weighs 150 pounds,
has dark hair and blue eyes.

Park, Exeter, Saturday, June 18,
with a full line of enjoyable
sports directed by Ken Hodgins
of Centralia. Attending from a

Happy Birthday was sung for
Mrs. Lorne Luker celebrating
a birthday that day.

mer, one and a half week old

The 19th Riley Reunion was
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Ross Riley with 90 attending.
The children's races and relays
were started at 2.30 p.m, and
supper was served at 5 p.m. on
the lawn.

oldest gent, Mrs. William Riley,

enjoy Jay Boyle. The evening
commenced with folk singing by
Jay Boyle with Rev. John Bayne
commenting on the story which
the songs told, Later everyone
joined in singing rounds and old
favorites.

REUNION
The Miller—McDougall re-
union was held Sunday June 19
in Seaforth Lions Park. About
57 sat down to a bountiful noon
meal which was followed by a
short meeting with the President
Raymond Miller presiding.
The officers for the coming

Adkins; secretary, Miss Mary
Miller; table committee, Mr. and
Mrs. Wilson McCartney; sports
committee, Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred

Miss Mary Miller and Mrs.
Wilmer Adkins were in charge
of the sports. Results of races:
