Don Finkbelner took a bus trip
to London last Tuesday, They
visited Kellogg's Ltd., the Coca
Cola Co. Ltd,, Storybook Gard-
ens, Eldon House and. CFPL ,TV
where they saw some of their
TV favourites in rehearsal.
Thursday afternoon the pre-
schoolers with their mothers,
grade 1 and 2 with teacher KISS
Lenore Trott visited Storybook
Gardens, enjoyed a train ride
and had a picnic supper at Spring-
bank Park.
SILVER ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Milford Merner
celebrated their 25th wedding
anniversary Sunday, June 19 with
a dinner at the community centre
for fifty guests from Zurich,
Exeter, Clinton, Kitchener, Lon-
don and Dashwood.
Present were the attendants
of 25 years ago, bridesmaid, Mrs.
Harry Hayter, sister of thebride,
and Mr. Elgin Merner of Kit-
chener, brother of the groom.
Also Mr. and Mrs. Merner's
two children, Ron and Margaret,
both at home.
RADER REUNION
The 15th Rader reunion was
held at Riverview Park, Exeter,
Sunday June 20 with over 100
registering,
Ernest Miller conducted sports
with the following results: 5 and
under, Linda McGregor; 6-9
girls, Marlene Taylor; boys,
Larry Weiberg, 9 13, girls, Dar-
lene Willert; boys, Ray Weido,
Members of Main Street United
Church honored their minister
for the past seven and a half
years, Rev. R. S. Hinz, Mrs,
Blitz, Malcolm and Miriam at the
close of the Sunday morning wor-
ship when all remained to have
luncheon together,
Sunday Mr, Hiltz will conduct
his Iast service as minister of
the church and. Tuesday, he and
his family move to Sturgeon Falls
to take Up a new pastorate there.
A presentation of three match-
ing pieces of luggage was made
to the Hiltz family. An added
thoughtful gesture was the gift
of a wig for Mr. Hiltz as pro-
tection against the cold of the
"fa r north,';
Mr, Blitz' successor, Rev.
Douglas S. Warren, and family
will move into the manse Thurs-
day, June 30 and his induction
will take place Thursday, July '7.
During the morning service
new lights showing up the church
windows on Main Street given by
the UCW in memory of Mrs, Glen
McKnight and Mrs. Willi am
Wright, valued members, were
dedicated.

purse, Mrs. Viola Howald.
President Garnet Weiberg wel-
comed everyone and it was de-
cided to hold the picnic same
time, same place next year. Of-
ficers for 1967 are: president,
Lloyd Howe, vice-president s,
Ray Rader and Wendell Gamble;
secretary, Mrs, Clair Zurbrigg;
treasurer, Mrs. Ted Steinback;
table convener, Mrs. Oscar Mill-
er; sports conveners, Wa y n e
Weiberg and Ray Taylor.
PERSONALS
Dr. & Mrs. Victor Hyde of
Lancashire, England flewto Can-
ada for a two week vacation with
Mr. & Mrs. Howard Klumpp.
The ladies had not seen one an-
other for 25 years. They visited
many places of interest. Dr. Hyde
who is a dentist, had a most
interesting visit with Dr. H. H.
Cowen of Exeter.
Mrs. Cora Geiser, Mr. & Mrs.
Jack Gaiser and Kim spent last
week at Campbellford with Mr.
G/C G. F. Ockenden DFC, CD Base Commander, Canadian Forces
Base Centralia, and F/L A, D, Cooper CD, contemplate the hours of
'relaxation" F/L Lloyd Henderson plans on his retirement, while
working his farm at Lucknow, Ontario. F L Cooper is also retiring,
tatting a position in Hensall at the General Coach Works.

F. 'L Lloyd Henderson, CD &
Clasp, of Lucknow, enlisted in
the RCAF at London, in October,
1940, and served at many Cana-
dian units as a motor equipment
operator. After the war he re-
mained in the service once again
serving at many units in Canada
before his tour at #3 (F) Wing,
Z weibrucken prior to his appoint-
ment as base transport officer
at Centralia in 1964.
F/L Henderson is married to
the former Audrey Campbell of
Chatham, Ontario and has afam-
ily of two daughters. F Hender-
son has returned to the land, and
will operate a farm in the Luck-
now area.

What is the meaning of the Expo
symbol? The basic motif is t h e
ancient and worldwide symbol for
worshipping man ... a vertical
line with outstretched arms.
These motifs are joined together
in pairs, the traditional repre-
sentation of friendship and sup-
port.
Two officers of Canadian Forc-
es Base Centralia, each with over
25 years service, were honored
at a mess dinner last week onthe
occasion of their retirement from
the RCAF.
F/L A. D. Cooper, CD& Clasp,
the base aircraft engineering of-
ficer, and F/L L. T. Henderson,
the base transport officer, plan
to retire in the local area,
F/L Al Cooper enlisted in the
RCAF in London in May, 1940,
and obtained a wartime rank of
pilot officer as an aero engine
mechanic. He served at many
units in Canada and remained in
the service after the war. He had
two tours of duty in England and
France with the Canadian Air
Division and was at Bagotville
immediately prior to his transfer
to Centralia in 1961. He was
granted a two-year extension to
his service in 1964.
F/L Cooper is married to the
former Shirley Joy Allin and they
have a family of 7 children. He
will reside in Exeter and take a
position with the General Coach
