Miss Sharon Agar and Isabel McCaughey had planned the evening and several contests were enjoyed. Mrs. Robert McCaughey fa- vored with two piano instument- als and Miss Olive Speare gave two humorous readings. Miss Janie Parsons read the address and Pat received many useful and lovely gifts. NATIVE DIES The death occurred. Wednes- day, June 1 of Edward Flynn of 26 St, Andrew St., London, for- merly of this community. Born and raised on Con. 2 Biddulph where he and Mrs. Flynn resided until moving to London four years ago. Mr. Flynn was a member of St. James Anglican Church where he served as rec- tor's warden and also on the cemetery board. He is survived by his wife, the former Alexia M, Atkinson; one sister, Mrs. Fanny Fergu- son, Nipawln, Sask and one brother, Robert H. Flynn, Lon- don, also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were con- ducted by Rev. K. J. Conyard of St. George Anglican church, Lon- don, assisted by Rev. E. 0. Lan- caster, Lucan, at the James Har- ris funeral home, Saturday, June 4 with interment in St. James cemetery, Clandeboye. Nephews of the deceased acted as bearers: Clive Flynn, Harry Cluff, James Flynn, Harold Brod- erick, Charles David and Robert Broderick. Over the week they visited at Trenton with Mrs. Murless' daughter, Mrs. Boggs, Cpl Al Boggs, Vicki and Tracy, Rice Lake, Pauline Johnston's home and at Port Hope, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Hornell returned home Monday from Montreal where they visited their son and family. "Bert" Lobb, both of Clinton, were also named honorary pre- sidents. Iris Marshall, 18, of Kirkton, was named Huron County dairy princess. She will represent Hu- ron at the Canadian National Exhibition for the provincial ti- tle. Runner-up was Barbara Doig, of Molesworth. Hugh Todd, of RR 2, Lucknow, was principal winner in the 4-H sheep competition. He presented the best project and placed high- est in showmanship. Duncan E- therington, of RR 1, Hensall ex- hibited the best fleece.
