NORMAN LONG CGIT The CGIT of Brucefield and Kippen churches met Wednesday evening, April 20. Volunteers were called for different jobs. A discussion was held on the amount of funds available for several church projects, This was followed by a worship ser- vice and a period of recreation. PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs, Bert Thomson and family accompanied by Mr. Ro- bert Thomson visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs, Lorne Schneider and family of Stratford, Mr. Edgar McBride attended the funeral Sunday of a relative, the late Mr. Henry McClinchey of Auburn. Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Rowe and family of Ailsa Craig visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Vivan Cooper and family. nadian Forces Base Clinton and Centralia concluded their even- ing by visiting the RCAF School of Food Services at Canadian Forces Base, Clinton. Both groups assembled at the School and were welcomed by its Officer Commanding, F/L J. B. Liberty who explained to the ladies the training activity carried out at the School. F/L Liberty presented a brief resume of the training conducted for the military Cook and Food Services Attendant and pointed out the career progression for RCAF Food Services Personnel. After the address by the Of- ficer Commanding the G u ild members toured the School fa- cilities receiving further ex- planation of the student educa- tion. Acting as guides were FS W. A. Reid and Sgt C. C. Moody, two members of the staff, as well as Cpl J. A, Legere, LAC R.A.J. Perrier and LAC G. F. Whelan, three students presently on course at SFS. The tour provided a comprehensive idea of the gen- eral layout of the School, the A general strike is a strike against the public, not a strike against an employer, equipment, the utensils in use and the student education in each area. To conclude the evening the ladies with their hosts enjoyed coffee and refreshments at the School, PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Thacker Linda, Cathy and Joy were Sun- day guests of Mr. & Mrs. Percy liodgins of Granton. Mr. & Mrs. Percy Wright, Janice and Julie of Cromarty were Sunday afternoon visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Gladwyn Hoop- er, Veryl and Jeanette. Mr. Wm. Jones has purchased Mr. Ron Squire's farm. Mr. & Mrs. Claire Sisson at- tended the funeral of the late Robert Reynolds of Strathroy on Tuesday. ST. PAUL'S WA The Woman's Auxiliary of St. Paul's Church met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. M. Bladder. Mrs. Clayton Smith presided for the meeting. De- votional was taken by Mrs. Claire Sisson, After a business discussion Mrs. Gerald Paul gave a chapter of the study book. Lunch was served by Mrs. T. C, Mains and Mrs. Theron Creery. PERSONALS Mr. Fred Hamilton has return- ed home after being a patient In Westminster Hospital for the past three weeks. Mrs. T. A. Wisemanspent four days this past week with Mr. & Mrs. Miller McCurdy and called on friends in the village. Mr. & Mrs. Art Julian of Utica, Mich. spent the weekend. Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Paul were Saturday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs. Austin Bailey of London. Jeffrey Allison, infant son of Mr. & Mrs. Harold Henry of London, was baptized at St. Paul's Church, Sunday morning. Guests following the christening at Mr. & Mrs. Wm. J.
