rooms of the church.
On their return from a trip
through the Eastern States the
couple will reside in Sault Ste
Marie, where the bride is a pub-
lic health nurse and the groom
teaches.

Couple wed at Grand Bend
Baskets of white mums formed
the floral setting in Our Lady of
Mount Carmel Church, Saturday,
April 16 at 2 pm for the double-
ring ceremony uniting in mar-
riage Frances M. Skinner, daugh-
ter of Mr and Mrs Delmer Skin-
ner, RR 1 Centralia, and Frank
A. Kints, son of Mr and Mrs
Alfons Kints, RR 1 Centralia.
Rev. A. P. Jansen officiated
and Mr Paul Dietrich played the
St. John's Lutheran Church,
Waterloo was the setting for
the marriage of Virginia Susan
Deichert of Kitchener and Clar-
ence Orval Stever of Linwood.
Rev. A. L. Conrad performed
the '7 pm ceremony on Monday,
April 1,1.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. Peter Deichert and the late
mrs. Deichert of Zurich and the
groom is the son of Mrs. Moses
Stever and the late Moses Stever
of Linwood.
The bride given in marriage
by her father chose a formal gown
of patterned taffeta, styled with
a scoop neckline, lily point
sleeves, fitted midrift, sheath
skirt, with back fullness and
slight chapel train. A head-
dress of petals and brilliants held
her tiered illusion veil and she
carried a white Bible crested
with a white Easter lily,
The maid of honor, Miss Flor-
ence Hahn of Kitchener, a cousin
of the groom and the two brides-
maids, Miss Marion Wettlaufer,
Waterloo and Mrs. Frank Cernuik
of Guelph, sister of the groom,
wore formal gowns of silk or-
ganza over taffeta in green. Their
headpieces were of matching
bows with pouff veils, Flower
girl, Catherine Deichert, niece
of the bride, wore a short white
dress, full skirt with green band
and bow at back with matching
green bow and pouff veil for her
headpiece. Bill Deichert, neph-
ew of the bride, was ringbearer.
Clayton Stever of Linwood, was
best man for his brother and the
ushers were Frederick Deichert
of Clinton, brother of the bride
Mr. Wayne Shaw, Grand Bend,
brother of the groom was best
man and Mr. Bob Hendrick, bro-
ther of the bride, and Mr. Glen
Shaw, brother of the groom ush-
ered guests.
At a reception following at the
Dashwood Community Centre, the
bride's mother received guests
wearing a coffee lace suit with
yellow and brown accessories
and a corsage of yellow roses
and bronze mums. The groom's
mother chose a navy silk knit
suit with navy and white acces-
sories and a corsage of white
roses and mums.
For a wedding trip to Northern
Ontario the bride donned a three
piece navy suit with navy and
white accessories and a corsage
of red carnations.

For travelling to Washington
USA, the bride donned a pink
knitted suit with black acces-
sories and light green cymbidium
orchid corsage.
The couple will reside on the
groom's farm, RR. 1 Woodham.

lace bodice with lily point sleeves
and bouffant skirt with lace panel
down the front. A chapel train
cascaded from the waist. Apearl
tiara held her shoulder length
veil, and she carried a cascade
of light pink roses with streamers
knotted with dark pink carnation

Miss Gail McBride, RR 2
Zurich, was maid of honor wear-
ing a formal gown of white lace
over pink taffeta with detachable
pink chiffon side panels. Her
headpiece was a pink wedding
band and she carried a cascade
of dark pink carnations with white
ribbon. Miss Margaret Johns, RII
3 Exeter, and Mrs. Manique Van-
bruwaene, RR 1 Centralia, sister
of the groom, were bridesmaids
dressed similarly to the maid of
honor,
Eric Kints, RR 3 Exeter, was
best man for his brother and Ed-
ward Skinner, brother of the
bride, and Michael Kints, brother
of the groom, ushered guests.
A reception was held at the
Dufferin House, Centralia, where
the bride's mother received
guests in a. peacock blue ensemble
of linen with thr ee -quarter length
coat of lace, beige accessories
and light pink carnation corsage.
The groom's mother chose a
light blue sheath with braid trim-
med jacket, white accessories

Huron Waves
hold supper
The annual pot luck supper
of Huron Waves was held in
C r e di ton Community Centre,
Monday evening with 35 in atten-
dance.
After an auction of the food
remaining Mrs. Frank Glanville
presided for the business and
program. A minute's silence was
observed for those who hacipass-
ed on during the year. Mrs.
Harry Sheppard presided at the
piano for a singsong and also
accompanied Mrs. Bruce Cann
in a solo and Mrs. William Van
Am er ongen and Mrs. Gerry
Wynja in a duet.
It was voted to hold the annual
picnic in Riverview Park Thurs-
day, July '7 with Mrs. Ross Krue-
ger and Mrs. Bruce Cann in
charge of sports and Mrs. Art
Bierling and Mrs. Roy Morenz,
the table committee.
The names of 10 shut-ins were
submitted and Mrs. Lorne John-
son and Mrs. Bruce Cann are
to be the visiting committee.
Mrs. Ruby Molitor of Crediton
spoke of her trip to Europe and
the British Isles accompanied by
pictures.
Mrs. John Greenwood, of the
London Central executive com-
mittee and three others from
London spoke briefly. A car of
The Ausable Belles from Park-
hill and Ailsa Craig including
president Mrs. Don Watson was
also present.
The lucky registration number
was held by Mrs. Art Bierling.
A box of groceries was won by
Mrs. Ross Krueger and a flower
arrangement by Mrs. Bierling.
SHOWERS
Prior to her marriage, Miss
Hendrick was honored at three
miscellaneous showers, given by
Miss Norma Weigand and Mrs.
Glen Rader, Dashwood, Miss
Carol Hendrick, Crediton and
Mrs. Lloyd Walper, RR 1, Dash-
wood,
Baskets of pink snapdragons
and white mums formed the flo-
ral setting for the marriage of
Marjorie Ann Hendrick, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Laird Hendrick,
RR 1, Dashwood, to JohnDouglas
Shaw, son of Mr and Mrs Hurley
Shaw, Grand Bend. The marriage
took place Saturday, April 16
at 3:30 in the Grand Bend United
Church, with Rev. E. G. Morrow
officiating.
The soloist Miss Jean Ken-
nedy, Grand Bend accompanied by
her mother Mrs. Clark Kennedy
sang 0 Perfect Love and Wedding
Prayer.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor
length gown of white French
peau de faille. The bodice was
highlighted by a shallow scoop
neckline, elbow length sleeves
and an empire insert. The gently
controlled sheath skirt featured
a detachable train cascading at
the back to chapel, length and
trimmed with appliques of Chan-
tilly lace. To complete her out-
fit the bride wore a French silk
ilibsion fingertip veil caught by
a- matching pillbox headpiece
touched with tiny seed pearls and
she carried an all white bouquet
of roses and gardenias.
Miss Sharon Lawrence, London
was maid of honor -wearing a
floor length gown of blush pink
silk organza. Elbow length
sleeves with white re-embroidery
enhanced the bodice with shallow
scoop neckline and empire waist.
The controlled sheath skirt was
trimmed at the bottom with white
re-embroidery and a pink velvet
ribbon. She wore a matching
petalled headpiece with a cock-
tail veil. Miss Norma Weigand,
Dashwood, cousin of the bride,
and Miss Shirley Brewer, London,
were bridesmaids and were
gowned similarly to the maid of
honor. They all carried nosegays
of pink roses.
Honor bride
with shower
Mrs. Don Hulbert, Grand Bend,
was hostess at a reception Thurs-
day, April 14, in honor of her
niece, Donna Wells, whose mar-
riage to Daniel R. Lane took place
in Medicine Hat, Alta.., on Satur-
day, April 9. Relatives attended
from Blyth, Clinton, Exeter, Zur-
ich and Grand Bend,
A miscellaneous shower was
held at the home of Mrs. Cy
Blommaert Monday April 18 when
friends gathered to honor Mrs.
Lane.
