She was introduced by Mrs, Harry Caldwell who also took the tour comprised of thirty four adults led by Roy and Mrs. Jewell of Dutton. Roll call was answered with payment of fees and yearly re- ports were presented. The 30th anniversary will be observed at the May meeting. District Di- David Noakes BSc, who is major- ing in Honors Zoology at the University of Western Ontario and working for his Masters de- gree has been awarded a Post Graduate scholarship of $3,000 for the year commencing Sep- tember 1966. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noakes of Hensall. rector Mrs. Carl Payne gave a report of the Board Meeting held here recently. Instead of the June picnic members will go out to dinner. Plans were discussed for the District Annual in Dashwoed Thursday May 19. Mrs. Payne sang a solo with Miss Greta Lammie accompanist. C. Boyne welcoming the Lutheran and Evangelical Church ladies from Zurich. Mrs. Don Mousseau and Mrs. John Baker relived the Easter message through the w o r ship period with Mrs. Trevor Wilson assisting. Guests were ushered in by Miss Pauline Bell, Mrs. Doug Shirray, Mrs. Al Hoggarth and Mrs. Gord- on Schwalm to view the slides of Japan and hear highlights of the trip taken by Mrs. Stirling Gra- ham and Mrs. Rena Caldwell. Mrs. Graham gave an interesting account of New Zealand's way of life and Australia's warm wel- come to visitors. Mrs. Caldwell recalled the memorable time of their five week trip together. Miss Joyce Flynn favored with a solo accompanied by Mrs, Beat- rice Hess at the organ. The hot turkey and ham smor- gasbord held at St. Paul's Angli- can Church Saturday afternoon was successful and well patroniz- ed. Thirty dinners were sent out. Over $200.00 was the door re- ceipts. It was sponsored by the ladies of the Church. Mrs. C. L. Jinks spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Ross Jinks and family in London. Mr, & Mrs. Bob Traquair and boys of Sarnia, accompanied by Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Traquair of Hensall, returned home Saturday from a pleasant two weeks vaca- tion in Florida, visiting St. Petersburg and Miami and a cousin at Jensen Beach. Mrs. W. G. Tiffin, Wingham, will be guest speaker at the UCW General Meeting Monday. Frank Ferrigno Frank Ferrigno, 53, died in Port Reading, New Jersey, Fri- day April 8. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Margaret Munn, formerly of Hensall area, a son, Robert and a daughter, Deborah. Funeral services were held from the Faille. Hotel Wednesday, April 13. It was decided, due to the 48-hour working week, to close Saturday nights. All Hensall stores will be open Friday nights until 10 pm and closed all day Monday as usual. High-C group view pics High-C Youth Fellowship met Sunday evening in the United Church with twenty three present. The evening's program was di- rected by Miss Joyce Flynn and her Hi-C group. An interesting and informative film "Kenojuak" pertaining to the life and customs of the Eskimos was shown, and Eric Ross pre- sented slides of his trip out West. Officers were elected for 1966- 67 of Hensall Kinette Club at their past presidents' night held at the home of Mrs. William Clement Wednesday evening, April 13. Vice president Mrs. Jim Hyde chaired the meeting, Past President is Mrs. William Fuss; president, Mrs. Jim Hyde; vice president, Mrs. Robt. Cald- well; secretary, Mrs. Har old Knight; treasurer, Mrs. Harold Caldwell; registrar, Mrs. Wil- liam Mickle; bulletin editor, Mrs. John Baker. Annual spring rummage sale was booked for Saturday May 7 in the local arena. President Mrs. Fuss and vice president Mrs, Hyde were ap- pointed delegates to attend the District Convention at Chatham May 20 to 23. Next meeting will be at Inter Club, St. Thomas, Raffle was won by Mrs. Robt, Baker. A period of euchre was played and the winners were Mrs. Jack Drysdale and Mrs. Harold Caldwell. Flowers in the United Church Sunday morning were in memory of the late John Passmore placed there by the family. Mrs. John Henderson returned home Saturday from South Huron Hospital where she has been a patient for 8 weeks. Mr. & Mrs. Felix Boogemans of Burlington, and Mrs. Pearl Passmore attended the Cooper- Kerslake wedding at Mount Zion United Church, London, Saturday April 9. Miss Karen McGregor of Brucefield was a guest last week with Miss Catherine Anne Christie. Members of Hensall Kinsmen Club will canvass the Village of Hensall Wednesday, April 27 at 7 P.M. for the Cancer Fund. Miss Margaret Mousseau was a guest last week with Mr. & Mrs. H. J. McManus, of London. Larry Consitt, Jerry Tudor and Tom Travers, attended a father and son Scout and Cub banquet at Brucefield United Church Friday evening. Guest speaker was the Huron District Commissioner. George Hess returned home Saturday from South Huron Hos- pital, Exeter, where he had been a patient for the past 8 weeks. Mr. & Mrs. Archie Noakes have returned from a winter vacation spent with their daughter and son- in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Leaton Sie- mon and family at Santa Clara, California. Mrs. C. R. Hume, St. Thomas, Miss Ruth Hume of Burlington, were guests Wednesday with Mr. & Mrs. Stewart McQueen. Mr. & Mrs. Laird Mickle at- tended the Past Master's banquet and Ladies' Night Wednesday evening of last week in Exeter. Mr. & Mrs. Karl Haslip and family of Burlington, were week- end guests with Mrs, Eric Ken- nedy and Mr. Ira Geiger. Mr. & Mrs. Harry Snell, Mr. David Beaver, Exeter, spent a few days at the end of the week with Mr. & Mrs. Don Rigby in Blen- heim, Mr. & Mrs. Snell attended the funeral Friday for the late Mr. Claire Rigby of Hamilton, brother of Mr. Don Rigby.
