(T-A photo) Mbre than 200 members of the Exeter Curling club were on hand at the Legion Hall Wed- nesday night for the annual ban- quet and trophy presentations to the various winners throughout the season. Wallace Seldon, outgoing pre- sident of the mens club and Mrs. Charles Smith, 1965-66 president of the ladles organization were in charge of the event. After a bountiful meal served by the Legion Auxiliary, Bill By MRS, HEBER DAVIS Easter service was held at two o'clock Sunday with the cele- bration of Holy communion. Rev. Lyle Bennett was in charge. Mrs. Tom Kooy was at the organ and Mr. and Mrs. Vic Drought sang a duet. The flowers on the altar were placed there in memory of Mrs. Jim Young by her parents and family. PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. Jim Barker held a birthday dinner Sunday for Messrs Heber Davis, Jim Young, Lucan, Larry Greenlee and Jim Barker, who observe their birth- day this month. Those present were Mrs. Richard Dickins, Ex- eter, Mr. & Mrs. Heber Davis, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Greenlee, Lar- ry and Leslie, Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Davis, Heather and Michael, Mr. & Mrs. Bob Tindall, Nancy and Marylou, Mrs. Florence Mc- Auley, London, Mr. Jim Young and Jeffrey and Mr. John Parker. Mrs. Harry Carroll was host- ess assisted by Mrs. Clarence Davis and Mrs. Bill Johnson at her home Thursday for a full day's quilting and again on Fri- day afternoon following the "Good Friday" service at St. Patrick's church, when the ladies finished the quilt. Mr. & Mrs. Maurice MacDon- ald were Friday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs. Harry Carroll and Sunday Mr. & Mrs. Harry Noels and Donald, Forest, were guests with the MacDonalds also Mr. & Mrs. Jack Dickins. Jeffrey Young, Lucan is spend- ing Easter holidays with his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Heber Davis. Mr. & Mrs. Earl Greenlee Larry and LeSile were guests Saturday evening with Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Greenlee, Exeter. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Dobbs Jr. and Freddie spent Easter day with Mr. & Mrs. Fred Dobbs Sr. Exeter and Monday evening they attended a bridge party at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Les Gibson, Exeter. Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Davis, Cameron and Sharon were guests Tuesday evening for a birthday dinner for Sharon at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Jim Mugford and Jamie, Lucan. Miss Sharon Davis is spending the holiday week at the home of Mr. & Mrs. George Wood, Lon- don. Mr. & Mrs. Stan McLay, Marie and Sam, London were weekend guests with Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Cunningham and family. Brady of CFPL radio and tele- vision entertained the large gath- ering with a variety of stories and his Jocular banter.
