A number of champions from the London Skating Club also put on a splendid demonstration of CGIT report of cookie sale The Lucan-Clandeboye CGIT meeting in the United Church school room, Monday evening was chaired by president, Nancy park and opened with a dis- cussion on "Called to be - -," with Mrs. Murray Hodgins in charge of the sr. group and Miss Dana Culbert, the intermediate group. Lucan's first number, "No business like show business" was staged by the Sr. girls in colorful costumes and featured Maureen Smith and Luanne Tay- lor doing splendid solo numbers. In the "Magic Workshow" most of Lucan's skaters were on the ice from the seniors in bright costumes to the pre-school child- ren as reindeer in white gowns and large antlers. Willie the Toy Maker (Mr. George Yelland) brought each group to life. All groups received a big hand of applause, especially the rein- deer, many of whom wobbled like drunken sailors and spent ANGLICAN SR. W.A. Wednesday afternoon, 17 Sr. WA members and Rev. Each team had a large group of gaily costumed cheer- leaders, who lacked nothing in lung power nor exuberance. On one team was four year-old Paul Theanders, who really stole the show. He was so much smaller than anyone else on the team. Though he has only been skating since Christmas yet he w a s strong on his feet. He was afraid of no one and was right in the middle of every scramble to get the ball. In the finale, the guest artists were each presented with a small gift by members of the Lucan group. The president Mrs. Jack Gil- mour, was assisted in the worship service by Mrs, Kay Egan and Mrs. Don Ankers. It was decided, like the afternoon branch to hold the next meeting a week early, on account of Holy Week so the meeting will be held March 30 at the home of Mrs. Allan Scott. Owner wanted Inside the George Young's Dry- Goods Store, is a high-heeled lady's black pump (almost new) with a sign, "Needed someone to fit this shoe". Apparently, about two weeks ago, a customer was carrying her shoes and did not hear one drop and fall to the floor. No doubt she is still wondering where she dropped it.
