McFalls 598) 32 The Lucan-Ilderton Combines 24 broke a 2-2 tie with three goals 60 in the third period to register a 45 5-3 win over the Forest Lake- 59 sides in a penalty filled contest 34 at Lucan last Friday night. The 27 win was the second of the season 20 for the Combines who have lost 57 one game. 40 A total of 29 penalties were called in the rugged game with 23 41 the Combines being assessed with 17. The Combines took an early 1-0 lead in the first frame as Doug Galloway scored at the 47 second mark but goals by Stan Ulrich and Dawson Schreader gave the Lakesides a 2-1 lead as the first period ended. Ernie Little who is alternating in goal with Keith Scarborough for the Combines came up with several big saves to keep the visitors off the scoresheet in the middle stanza as his mates tallied once to tie the score. Defense- man Norm Noble beat goalie Ron Urry on an unassisted play at 14:56 to tie the score and set the stage for the Combines' third period outburst. Doug Galloway's second goal of the night opened the scoring in the third period and the win- ners added two more goals before Forest replied. The Combines' Ken Loft t a 11 e d at 7:08 of the final period to give the winners a 4-2 lead and Bill Neil scored the last Combine goal at 10:36 with Vic and Norm Nobfe draw- ing assists on the play.
