Miss Judith Marlene Gridzak,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter
Gridzak, Kippen, became the
bride of LAC Ron Cann of Sid-
ney, Nova Scotia, Saturday, No-
vember 20 at 11 am.
padre J. H. McAvany of Cen-
tralia RCAF Station performed
the ceremony in the chapel at
the Station. Baskets of yellow
mums and candelabra formed the
setting for the occasion. Mrs.
Amiel Willard of Exeter played
the wedding music, playing c 4 0

The bride chose for her wed-
ding a waltz-length gown of point-
de-sole over taffeta, with lace
bodice, lily point sleeves and
full skirt with matching chapel
train of point-de-soie. Her head-
piece was of rhinestones and
held her shoulder-length veil.
She carried a bouquet of pink
carnations crested with trailing
ivy. The bride was given in
marriage by her father, Peter

Bend United Church women was
held last Tuesday evening with a
good attendance. Mrs. Wm. Stur-
devant opened the meeting with
hymn, scripture and prayer.

guests in a royal blue jersey
sheath with black accessories
and a white carnation corsage.
The groom's mother chose a
jade green chiffon dress, feather
hat, and corsage of white car-
nations.
For travelling the bride wore
an olive green suit, black ac-
cessories and pink carnation cor-
sage.
The couple will reside in Cen-
tralia.
Guests were present from Nova
Scotia, Toronto, London, Park-
hill, Exeter and Centralia.

Too much salt in soup can
be eliminated by putting slices
of raw potato into the pot. The
potatoes will soak up the ex-
cess salt and you can remove
them before serving the soup.

The Crediton WI Christmas
meeting will be held Dec. 1 at
which they will entertain the other
eight local branches with the
highlight of the meeting being
on hair styling.
