Mrs. Tuku Ramakrishaa of New
Delhi, whose husband is taking
a post doctorate fellowship in
botany at the University of West-
ern Ontario was the guest speak-
er at the general UCW meeting
Thursday evening.
mrs, Ramakrishna was an in-
teresting speaker telling much
of the Hindu faith, customs and
dress.
The worship service was led
by lairs. George Carpenter as-
sisted by Mrs, Emerson Stanley.
Refreshments were servedby the
Evening Unit.
POT...MI.4ES CLUB
SOCIAL -EVENING.
The Couples Club, Friday, held
a successful social evening and
dance, at the Community Centre,
with the Canadian playboys pro-
viding the music. The proceeds
will go to the building fund.
LITTLE HELPERS' PARTY
The Sr. WA entertained the
Little Helpers in the parish Hall
Friday afternoon. The convener,
Mrs. Jack Murdy was in charge
of the candle lighting ceremony.
As each age group emptied their
pennies in the "Pennies for Jes-
us" pail a candle was lit, The
total proceeds amounted toS7,01.

ATTENDS BAPTISM
Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Murdy attended the yearly Dap-
tism ceremony at the United
Church, Mount Forest, when the
Rev. McFadden baptized a large
group of children. Among those
baptized Sunday was their grand-
daughter, Susanne Gail Morris.
They brought their other grand-
daughter Sandra home with them
for a couple week's visit.
