Her sister, Mrs. Harry McNaughton has visited her daily since she was moved to London, as well as staying with her in Lansing. Since speaking her first word she has gradually improved until now she recognizes her family and can carry on a conversation, and even call her sister on the phone, She is still in St. Mary's Hospital. With the help of nurses she can walk down the hall, so the family are in hopes she willfully recover. Lions Club offers reward Five members of the Parkhill Lions Club attended the dinner meeting of the Lucan Lions Club, in the Anglican Church basement, last Monday evening. One new member, Don Black, was wel- comed into the club. Mr. Alex Young and Mr. Clar- ence HaSkett were named a com- mittee to make the necessary arrangements for the annual turkey bingo. Dr. Lloyd Hall re- ported on the successful mas- querade dance held at the Corn- munity Memorial Centre on Oc- tober 29. It was again announced the Lions Club will contribute $25 to anyone submitting information which leads to conviction of van- dalism in Lucan. Mystery prizes went to Lions, Jim young and Dr. Hall. Miss Una Abbott's group of the Ladies Guild cater, ed for the dinner. Medway euchre season started The Medway Euchre Club which usually does not hold its first euchre, until after New Years, began this year October 2'7 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Hobbs, with 16 present. High score prizes went to Mrs. Elmer Summers and Mr. Clar- ence Lewis; lone hand prizes to Mrs. Clarence Lewis and Mr. Otto Daley; and low score prizes to Mrs. Wilbert Stanley and Mr. Chester McComb. The next euchre will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. El- mer Summers. Witches Brew nears end Just a few days left to win one of Witches' Brew prizes donated by 12 of Lucan's Busi- nessmen and now on display in the window of the former Skylark Salon. The contest began Oct. 28 and will end this Sat. A coupon is given for each dellar purchase. A draw will be made at the end of the contests, Someone will win! It could be you, so do some of your Christmas shopping this weekend. Five names will be drawn. The first four will take their choice of the 12 gifts but the fifth will win the remaining eight prizes. This is one time when it will pay off to be the last name drawn. Legion ladies plan bazaar At the Legion Auxiliary meet- ing in the Legion Hall last Tues- day plans were finalized for the annual tea and bazaar to be held in the Legion Hall, Sat. Nov. 13.
