Monday, Nov. 1, the CGIT en-
tertained the Hi-C group in the
Sunday School room.
Dr. E. A. McMaster gave an
illustrated lecture on "Animals
of the Safari". Dr. McMaster's
pictures were taken last winter
when he visited Africa.
October 25 the girls enjoyed
a Hallowe'en party at the home
of their leader Mrs. Wm. Sch-
legel.
CELEBRATE 80TH BIRTHDAYS
October 27 the family of Mr.
Arthur Baker gathered at his
home to celebrate his 80thbirth-
day.
Monday evening November 1
about twenty neighbors in Green
Acres gathered at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baker to
celebrate four neighbors' birth-
days who are all 80 years of age
just recently. They were Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Baker, Mr. Harry
Appleton and Mr. Merritt Thomp-
son each received a gift and en-
joyed a social evening which was
a great surprise to all of them.

day in the town hall.
Mrs. Carman Lovie, convener
of historical research and cur-
rent events spoke on "Upper Can-
ada Village and old costumes"..
Mrs. Garnet Patterson curator
had the Tweedsmuir history kook
on display. Roll call was answer-
ed by telling °"MY objection to the
old cook stove". The motto, "Memory is a wonderful treasure
chest, if you know how to pack It"

rent events were discussed by
