IN MEMORIAM
COMFORT — In loving memory
of a dear father, Alton Wilfred
Comfort who passed away one
year ago, October 12, 1964.
Tonight the stars are shining
On a silent grave
Where sleeps our loving father
The one we loved but could not
save.
To you who have a father,
Cherish him with care;
We hope you never know the
heartache,
When you see his vacant chair.
Do not ask if we miss him,
There is an empty space;
For we cannot forget his foot-
steps,
Or his dear familiar face.
As his smile is gone forever,
And his hands we cannot touch;
For all we have are memories,
Of a Dad we loved so much.
We cannot explain to others,
The loss we feel inside;
We only know we miss him,
The tears we try to hide.
For he meant so much to us,
Far more than words can say;
There's an awful ache within our
hearts,
That the years won't take away.
God knows how much we loved
him,
He was the greatest gift to us;
He is forever in our hearts,
But now in heaven he rests.
God bless you Dad you were one
of the best.
— Sadly missed and lovingly re-
membered by daughters Eva,
Doris and Marilyn, sons-in-
law, Milton, Stuart and Jack.7*
COMFORT —In loving memory
of a dear grandfather, Alton
Wilfred Comfort who passed
away one year ago, October 12,
1964.
Many a lonely heartache,
Often a silent tear;
But always a beautiful memory
Of a grandfather whom we loved
so dear.
Time may heal the broken heart
Time may make the wound less
sore;
But time can never stop the long-
ing
For the loved one gone before.
— Sadly missed and lovingly re-
membered by grandchildren,
James, Sandra, Terry, Scott
and Bonnie. 7*
THEY'RE HERE AGAIN!
IN MEMORIAM —
GILFILLAN -- In loving memory
of our dear son Grant, who was
suddenly taken from us on Qct.
9, 1964.
One long and lonely year has
passed
Since that great sorrow fell,
The shock that we received that
night
Will alwaYs with us dwell.
When we are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong;
We seem to hear him whisper
"Cheer up and carry on."
Each time we see his photo
It seems to smile and say,
Don't cry I'm only sleeping,
We'll meet again some day.
— Fond memories and so sadly
missed by Dad, Mom and Barb.
7c
GILFILLAN — In loving memory
of a dear brother and uncle,
Grant Leslie Gilfillan who was
instantly killed one year ago
October 9, 1964, age 18 years.
We little knew as we woke that
morn,
The sorrow the day would bring,
The call was sudden, the shock
severe,
To part with one we loved so dear.
But in His wisdom God has plan-
ned,
Beyond our power to see,
Sometimes it is hard to under-
stand,
Why these sad things have to be.
God gave us courage to bear the
blow,
But what it meant to lose him,
No one will ever know.
— Sadly missed and lovingly re-
membered by brother Bill, sis-
ter-in-law Grace, nieces,
Wendy and Sherry, and nephew
Randy. 7c
GILFILLAN -- In loving memory
of a dear brother and uncle,
Grant who passed away sudden-
ly one year ago, October 9,
1964 as a result of a car ac-
cident.
God gave me a wonderful broth-
er
His memory will never grow old;
He fashioned his smile out of
sunshine,
He moulded his heart of pure gold;
He needed a new star in Heaven,
A beautiful light to shine;
So out of this old world of sorrow,
He chose that dear brother of
mine.
— Lovingly remembeied by Don-
na, Harvey and penny. 7c
SIMS — In loving memory of a
dear mother Elizabeth Jean
(Baird) who passed away 15
years ago October 8, 1950.
Sunshine passes, shadows fall,
Love's remembrance outlasts
. all.
— Ever remembered by daughter
and son-in-law Doris and Jim
Edwards. 7c
