EXPLORERS
At the second expedition of
the Lucan-Clandeboye Explorers
last Monday there was an atten-
dance of 39 E xplorers, four coun-
sellors and two helpers. Between
6 and 7 p.m. Mrs. Lorne Mohr
supervised girls doing research
for their first gold star.
At '7 pm there was the opening
and various reports. Buttons
were brought in for the bale.
Mary Mohr read the report on
the Dead Sea Scroll" and dis-
played pictures. The girls pin-
ned four small quilts for the bale.
Mrs. Windsor, who operates
the Skylark Beauty Salon, will
continue at the side of her new
home.
Medd visited Thursday with Mrs.
E. Martin of Goderich, Mrs.
Jack Tamblyn of Londesboro,
Rev. & Mrs. Park of Clinton.
Mr. & Mrs. Jack Thomson,
Marion, Grant, Sharon and Mary
Lou, and Mr. Laverne McCarter
attended Zion anniversary Sunday
and were guests of Mr. & Mrs.
Edgar Baker. Mr. Wm. Thom-
son was also a guest for dinner.
District Governor Larry
Woods of Preston was the in-
stalling officer for the joint in-
stallation of Kinsmen and Kin-
ettes at Lucan Thursday evening.
The evening which was the first
important function of the fall
season for the clubs and featured
the installation of officers for
both the Exeter and Hensall clubs.
Mr. Woods was assisted in the
installation by expansion chair-
man, Grady Little. District Kin-
ette convenor, Pat Meikle of
London was on hand to outline
policies for Kinettes.
