passes at Exeter
Samuel Hendrick, 62, of Exeter
died Sunday, September 19, in
South Huron Hospital having been
a patient since the Thursday pre-
vious. He had had a heart afflic-
tion for many years.
He was born on the Blue Water
Highway, and following his mar-
riage to Florence Turnbull, they
continued to farm until moving
13 years ago to a new home on
Highway 4 just south of the town.
Surviving besides his wife are
one daughter, Miss Helen of Lon-
don; four sons, Hugh, Stanley
Township; Elgin, Hay Township;
John of Arthur and Emil of Strat-
ford; one sister, Mrs. Fred Bell,
and brothers, Edmond of Stephen
Township, Lloyd, Donald and
Laird, all of Hay Township, also
nine grandchildren. One sister,
Mrs. Harry Cole, Exeter, pre-
deceased him.
A private funeral service was
conducted by Rev, S. E. Lewis
at the R. C. Dinney funeral home,
Exeter, on Wednesday, Septem-
ber 22, with interment in Grand
Ber. cemetery.
Pallbearers were Messrs El-
more McBride, Jack Doerr, Ward
Fritz, Victor Taylor, Lloyd
Walper and Charles Hay. Flower
bearers were Larry Snider, Rus-
sell Snell, Clarence Schade, Fer-
gus Turnbull, Garnet Patterson,
Georke Clifton and Garnet Mous-
seau.

a week. She was accompanied
on the trip by her mother, Mrs.

died in London
Mrs. Ray Broderick, 52, of
Andrew St., Exeter. died in Vic-
toria Hospital, London, on Sun-
day, September 19 having been a
patient about two weeks. She
was the former Muriel Hackney
of the Chiselhurst area.
Surviving are her husband, son
Ronald and daughter Jane, both
at home, two brothers Alex and
Leslie of Usborne Township.
The funeral service was con-
ducted by Rev. S. E. Lewis at
the Hopper-Hockey funeral home,
Exeter, Tuesday, September 21
with interment in Exeter ceme-
tery.
