the ceremony and Mrs. M. Alex-
ander furnished the music,
Given in marriage by her fa-
ttier tile bride chose a floor-
length gown of silk faccimae.
The bodice featured a scoop neck-
line and lily point sleeves and
the sheath skirt was worn with
a bouffant overskirt caught at
the front waist with a tiny tai-
lored bow, A floral headpiece held
her bouffant veil of silk illusion
and she carried a cascading bou-
quet of Johanna Hill roses, steph-
anotis and ivy. Her only adorn-
ment was a pearl necklace, the
gift of the groom.
Mrs. John Kirchner was ma-
tron of honor and Miss Joan
Downing, sister of the bride, was
bridesmaid. They were gowned
alike in floor-length sheath
dresses of yellow organza over
taffeta featuring white lace
sleeveless bodices with scoop
necklines, They wore coronets
of yellow shasta and lavender
mums, and carried cascades of
similar mums and ivy.
Carl Lister Jr. was best man
and Edwin Knight and Richard
Campbell ushered guests.
A reception was held in the
Holy Trinity Parish Hall.
For travelling to Southern U-
nited States the bride changed to
a three piece white ensemble with
navy accessories and corsage of
pink Sweetheart roses.
The couple will reside on St.
Clair Street, Chatham. The bride,
is a member of the 1964 gradua-
ting class of Chatham Public Gen-
eral Hospital School of Nursing.

Ray M. Guenther, 40, passed
away at Victoria Hospital, Lon-
don, Wed. August 25.
He is survived by his wife, the
former Jean Ann Wilson; two
daughters, Jane and Elizabeth;
two sons, John and Robert; all at
home; his father, E arl R. of Dash-
wood; two sisters, Mrs. Glen
(Ruth) Walper of London; Mrs.
Elgin (Shirley) Kipfer, Dashwood;
two brothers, Lloyd and Ross of
Dashwood.
The body rested at the T. Harry
Hoffman funeral home until Sat-
urday at 1 pm when the service
was conducted by Rev. M. J.
James of the Evangelical UB
church with interment in Exeter
cemetery.

long illness
Mrs. William Schroeder, 68,
the former Selma Weseloh,
passed away at South Huron Hos,-
pital, Exeter, where she had been
a patient for several months,
Thursday, August 26.
Besides her husband William,
of RR 2 Dashwood, she is survived
by one daughter Anne (Mrs. Fred-
erick Smith) of Cooksville; three
sons, Hubert of Exeter, Harold
(Bud) of Dashwood, and Jacob of
Hay Township; three sisters,.
Mrs. Wm. Thiel of Zurich, Mrs.
Thomas Gittus of liensall, Mrs,
Arthur Mainineer of Detroit; a
brother Frederick of Tecumseh,
Mich„ also nine grandchildren.

Francis L. LaFond, 69, of 865
Wellington St., Sarnie, passed
away in et. Joseph Hospital,Sar-
nia, Tuesday, August 24.
He was a son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Wilfred. LeFond. porn in
the Grand Bend area he resided
in Sarnia since 1921,
He is survived by his wife, the
former Myrtle Anderson; three
