Mr. Frank Egan, a former Bank of Montreal employee at Lucan, has received another pro- motion and has been sent from Glencoe to Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. LangDeCoursey of Detroit (formerly of Lucan) have been staying at the Lucan Shillelagh and visiting many of their Lucan and district friends. Mrs. J. de Munnik has returned to Holland, after a three and a half month vacation with her daughter, Mrs. Austin Hodgins and family of the Coursey Line. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson and family have returned from a 17- day motor trip to Vancouver (ten of the seventeen days were wet). They visited an uncle, Mr. Sam Robinson of Langley and the Hod- gins cousins in Chilliwack. Peter and Gregory Revington, teen-age sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Revington, are holidaying with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Revington. Peter and Jeff Culbert and Allan Kraul are holidaying at the Huron Church camp near Hayfield for 10 days. Miss Flo Chown of St. Thomas is holidaying with her sister, Miss Rita Chown of Alice St. Mr. and Mrs. William Ayle- stock of Lucan and their daughter Rev. A. Aylestock of St. Cath- arines, have returned from a two- week motor trip to Toronto, Mon- treal and New York. WO2 and Mrs. W. C. FORMER RESIDENT DIES Ernest McKenzie, 79, a former storekeeper in the village, died July 27 at Long Beach, Califor- nia. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William McKenzie of East Williams Township, one of a family of five sons. T. N. Libby guest preacher Special guest preacher at Trivitt Memorial Anglican Church this Sunday will be the Rev. T. Neil Libby, Executive Director of St. Leonard's House, Windsor. St. Leonard's is a 'Half-Way House' for ex-convicts, sponsored by All Saints Anglican Church, Windsor. The home was founded four years ago by Fr. Libby over consider- able opposition from local resi- dents. The purpose of St. Leon- ard's is to help men who have been in penitentiary for long pe- riods to get back into society. They are given assistance to secure employment, and the friendship and counselling which are so necessary to enable them to steer clear of a return to 'the pen'. The house is modelled on a similar one in Chicago and on St. Dismas House in St. Louis, Mo, which was founded by the now famous ('Hoodlum Priest", Fr. Dismas Clark. Fr. Libby will speak to the Exeter congregation about the work being done in Windsor. ser in 1911 and they bought the Clandeboye store. In 1919 they sold it to John L. Simpson. After leaving Clandeboye they lived at Leamington and later, London, where they conducted a bake shop. They moved to California 43 years ago. Interment took place at Long Beach.
