HAROLD DAVIS DESSERT TEA St. Paul's Church L ad I e s Guild held a dessert tea in the basement of the church last Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Lyle Bennett greeted the visit- ing ladies from Kirkton UCW and Class That Counts, Strat- ford, Woodham, London and Exeter. Mrs. Clayton Smith welcomed the ladies to the tea. Following the dessert and tea Mrs. Bill Schaefer introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Mc- Killop of St. Marys who spoke on the work and advancement being accomplished for the re- tarded children. Mrs. Gerald Paul thanked the speaker. Door prizes were won by Mrs. Earl Watson and Mrs. Joe Blommaert. Home baking was sold. The ninth annual Caldwell reunion was held at Springbank Park July 11 with over 50 pre- sent. Sports were in charge of Marilyn and Homer Campbell, Doreen and Emerson Anderson. Races were enjoyed by the children also a peanut and candy scramble. SKINNER REUNION A Skinner family gathering and wiener roast was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John McAllister last Tuesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Waller- sheim of Milwaukee, Wisconsin who has been staying with a cousin Mr. C. Skinner and visit- ing several cousins around Exe- ter were present and showed some interesting slides of their trip and family. Mrs. Wallersheim is inter- ested in genealogy as a hobby and has traced the family of the late Richard Bealey back to almost 1760.
