the bride's mother received
guests in a, two-piece suit of pink

For travelling the bride
changed to a beige shantung suit
with taupe and beige acces-
sories and corsage of a bronze

The couple will live to Strat-

bronze mum corsage,

sories and corsage of pink
roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vic-
tor "Larry" Black, who were
married in Nile United Church
Wednesday, June 30 at 4 pm,
will make their home in Ex-
eter where the groom is on
the teaching staff and the bride
an employee of British Mort-
gage and Trost Company.
Mrs. Black is, the former
Joyce Elaine Matthews of 18Q
Huron Road, Goderich, dau-
ghter of Mrs. Henry 11. Mat-
thews and the late Mr. Mat-
thews. Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Black, RR 1 Port Albert, are
parents of the groom.
Baskets of white mums, pink
sweet william and delphinium
formed the setting for the double
ring ceremony performed by
Rev. J. A. Veldhuls, Dungan-
non, Walter Tigert, Goderich,
played the wedding music and
accenmanied the soloist, Mrs,
Betty Wilkins who sang The
Lord's My Shepherd and Wed-
ding Prayer.
Given in marriage by her
uncle Mr. Sam Anderson, of
Arcola, Sask., the bride wore
a floor-length gown of Chan-
tilly lace designed with tiered
skirt, scalloped neckline tou-
ched with sequins, and lily point
sleeves. From the nape of the
neck a full watteau lace train
cascaded to the floor from a
large bow. Her scalloped five-
tier full shoulder-length veil
fell from a coronet of pearls
and florets and she carried a
long crescent of gardenias,
pink variegated miniature car-
nations and trailing ivy.
Maid of honor was Miss Bar-
bara Taylor of Walton wearing
a floor-length portrait gown

versity of Western Ontario, pee
dith Ann Hickson, Toronto, and
Donald Charles Taylor, Hamil-
ton, exchanged marriage vows
Saturday, July 10, at 3:30 pm
in Calvary United Church,
Windsor.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert A. Hick-
son, Windsor, and Mr. and Mrs.
Ross D. Taylor, Exeter, are
Perents of the groom.

officiated at the ceremony and
T. G. Hooper, Toronto, played
the wedding music and accom-
panied the soloiet, Miss Sandi
Morrow, London.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a floor-
length gown of white imported
linen with appliqued lace neck-
line and hemline. A wedding
ring headdress held her hal-
length veil of French silk il-
lusion and she carried a bouquet
of white orchids, white mums
and trailing ivy.
Mrs. Peter Whitteman, Ot-
tawa, was matron of honor in
a floor-length gown of ocean
blue flowered silk with match-
ing headdress. The bridesmaid,
Mrs. Charles Hickson, Wind-
sor, sister-in-law of the bride,
was dressed identically to the
matron of honor. The attendants
carried bouquets of pale yellow
and white mums.
Steven Pepper, Hamilton, was
best man and Orland R. Taylor,
Hamilton brother of the groom,
and William Pollen, Exeter,
were ushers.
The reception was held at the
Senior Citizens Hall, Elliott
St., where the bride's mother
received guests in a printed
silk sheath with matching hat,
white accessories and the
groom's mother chose ice blue
shantung with matching hat and
white accessories. Each wore
a mauve orchid corsage. Mr.
William Batten was master of
ceremonies.
The couple are honeymoon-
ing at the Laurentians after
which they will reside Hamil-
ton. For travelling the bride
changed to a white linen sheath
with coral boucle coat, white
Breton straw hat, white acces-
sories and mauve orchid cor-
sage.'

London, furnished the wedding
music and accompanied the
soloist, Miss Joan Donaldson,
Stratford, who sang Wedding
Prayer and 0 Perfect Love.

father the bride wore a floor-
length gown of silk organza with
bouffant skirt which was ap-
pliqued with raised flower mo-
tifs. A chapel train extended
from the back waistline. The
bodice was styled with scoop
neckline, Illy point sleeves and
flower motifs to match the skirt.
She carried a cascade of red
roses and white carnations.
Maid of honor was Miss Ber-
nice Carter, Exeter, sister of
the bride, wearing a street-
length gown of seafoam crystal
charm with detachable over-
skirt. Bridesmaids, Miss Janet
Rowe, RR 1 Woodham, and Miss
Donna Taylor, Parkhill, were
gowned similarly to the maid
of honor. All carried cascades
of white carnations edged in tur-

Church was the setting, Satur-
day, July 10 at 2 pm for the mar-
riage of Joan Marie Glavin,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
A. Glavin, RR 2 Crediton, and
Larry Wismer, Stratford, son of
Mr. Melvin Wismer and the late
Mrs. Isabel Wismer, Kitchener.
Rev. Basil Glavin, uncle of
the bride, performed the cere-
mony and Paul Dietrich, RR 2
Crediton, played the wedding
music.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose a white
eateau peau gown with scoop
neckline, three-quarter
sleeves, and flower and bow of
the dress material on the prin-
cess line bodice. The A-line
skirt was styled with detachable
wateau • train with sateau peau
flowers across the shoulders.
Rolled sateau peau roses and
mother-of-pearl leaves held
her shoulder-length veil of silk
illusion. She carried a cascade
of 25 yellow roses with leather
fern.
Miss Christine Cooke, Strat-
ford, was maid of honor, wear-
ing a floor-length gown of mint
green chiffon with long sleeves,
scoop neckline and featuring an
empire waistline. Streamers of
sateau peau extended down from
the shoulders down the back.
Her veil was held by a wedding
ng, 11111 Exeter, and. Miss Emily
Dykemen, sisters of the bride.
They were gowned edentically to
the matron of honor. All wore
a blue nylon bow headpiece with
circuler veil of nylon tulle and
carried bouquets of white care
nations edged in blue.
Flower girl was Miss Aim
Dea,ring, niece of the bride,
dressed similarly to the other
attendants and she carried a
nosegay of white carnations
edged in blue,
Ken McIntyre, brother of the
groom, was best man and Jelin
McIntyre, RR3 Denfield, bro-
ther of the groom, and Leslie
Dykeman, brother of the bride,
ushered the guests.
The reception was held at
the bride's home where her
mother received in a gown of
white nylon over pink flowered
crepe with blue carnation cor-
sage. The groom's mother as-
sisted in blue eyelet with red
Iwo corsage.
For travelling in Northern
Ontario and Northern Michigan
the bride donned a flowered pink
dress with matching three-
quarter coat, white accessories
and corsage of blue carnations.
The couple will reside on
the groom's farm RR3 Den-
field.

honeymoon destination of
Bjarne Danhoej Nilsson and his
bride, the former Margaret Pa-
tricia McLaren, whose mar-

King chapel, RCAF Centralia,
on Saturday, July 10 at 2 pm.

RCAF Station, Centralia, and
Mr. and Mrs. Kaj Nilsson, Co-

sole styled in A line trimmed

crown held her shoulder-length
bouffant veil. She carried a
cascade of pink roses and white
carnations.
The bride's attendant was
Miss Mary Lou Oakley, Strat-
ford, gowned in lime green in
floor-length with d et a c h able
train. She carried a crescent
of yellow gladioli. Peter Sch-
midt, London, was best man.
A wedding reception was held
in the Sergeant's Mess, RCAF
Centralia, where the bride's
mother received guests in a
beige sheath trimmed with lace,
matching hat and corsage of pink
roses.
For travelling the bride chose
a black and white A line dress
with matching accessories and
corsage of red roses.
The couple will make their
home in London.
