CLANDEBOYE
Saturday evening a cattle
beast fell into the well of Mr.
Wilfred Cunningham. It fell in
backwards and the water was
almost over his mouth.
They called Don Smith
Wreckers from Lucan who help-
ed take the top off the well and
got the calf out, no worse for
the accident. The well had to
be pumped out and cleaned.

the trip.
The congregation of St. Jam-
es Anglican Church will worship
in the chapel sunday while re-
novations are being done in the

their Little dog come home Fri-
day. He had failed so much his
collar slipped off his head.
They had advertised for him.
Thursday six Clandeboye la-
dies joined with those of Lucan
WI for a trip to Gorge Park,
Elora, Hespeler Woolen Mills,
Adelaide Hoodless Home, and
dined at the White Horse Res-

The annual Dickins family
picnic was held Sunday, June
20 at Riverview Park, Exeter,
with 90 in attendance.
Mr. Frank Dickins, Ailsa
Craig, welcomed the friends
and relatives and conducted a
business meeting following din-
ner.
Mr. Albert Dickins, Lam-
beth, will be the 1966 president
with Mrs. Dickins as secretary-
treasurer. Sports committee is
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Coate 5,
Exeter, Miss Wilma Coates,
London and Mrs. Dick Dough-
erty, Mt. Clemens, Mich.
A good program of sports
followed conducted by Mrs. Pete
Sovereign and Wayne Dickins,
London.
Mrs. Phineas Dickins was the
oldest person present and Davie
Thomas Dickins, son of Mr.and
Mrs. Wayne Dickins, the young-
est present.

was held Saturday evening, June
19 on the lawn of the home
of Mr. & Mrs. Elzar Mousseau

In a seven and one-half acre
field of wheat, Mr. R obert
Thomson measured a stalk of
wheat 5 feet one and one-half
inches long with a 3 1/2 inch
head.
Mr. Emerson Anderson was
admitted last week to St. Jo-
seph's Hospital, London for
surgery.
Mrs. W, L. Mellis entertained
Wednesday evening June 16 at a
miscellaneous shower in honor
of Miss Ruth Ann Dykeman of
Centralia, who is employed at
Huronview, Clinton. Forty
friends attended.
Mrs. Rochus Faber enter-
tained Friday evening at her
home at a miscellaneous show-
er, honoring Mrs. Jack Faber,
a recent bride. Twenty-eight
relatives attended. A short pro-
gram of three contests were
conducted by Mrs. Penhale of
Hayfield, and Mrs. Eminerson
Coleman, Seaforth.
Carol Penhale read the ad-
dress, gifts were presented by
Linda Coleman, Brenda Ed-
wards and Cynthia Horn.
