Haskett of Lucan and extra
chairs were supplied by Jack
Murdy, Lucan, Miss A gne s
Northgrave and Mrs, Arthur
Simpson were in charge of the
guest book which was signed by
250 guests. Following the both
services the ladles of the Church
served lunch while guests were
renewing acquaintances. Cen-
tennial booklets and souvenir
plates were on sale commemor-
ating the occasion. A centennial
cake was made for the occasion
by mrs. Ernie Ross, Lucan.
Of considerable interest were
old photos and pictures relat-
ing to the church and the form-
er ministers and their families,
An autograph quilt made 40
years ago and bought by the
late Ernie Williams was also
'of interest.
The first church within the
limits of Clandeboye was known
as Wesleyan Methodist and was
a frame building across the
corner from the present site.
It formed part of the old Devon-
shire circuit with Exeter as its
centre.
In 1902 the church was moved
across the road in McGillivray
township when a basement was
built beneath with George Bawd-
en, Lucan, doing the masonry
and Tom McCann, Lucan, pour-
ed cement. A furnace was In-
stalled. Since then a vestibule
has been added, new windows
and many improvements.
The membership today is
about 36 families. Rev. G. W.
Sach heads the Official Board
with Rea W. Neil, who has acted
as secretary for 40 years, and
William Simpson is treasurer.

FLETCHER -In loving mem-

Fletcher, who passed away
three years ago, June 6, 1962.
As I look upon your picture,
Sweet memories I recall;
Of a face so full of sunshine,
A smile fop one and all.
To one no longer with me,
But in my heart still lives;
To hear your voice, to see your
smile,
To sit with you and talk awhile;
To be together in the same old
way,
Would be my dearest wish today.
