Lads receive promotions
The annual “Going Up" ceremony was held at the Scout hall
Monday when several lads received promotions. The two Cubs

Teen-town was re-orga-
nized this month with the
following officers; co-pre-
sidents, Nancy Watson and
Bob Bobor; secretary-trea-
surer, Wa.yneH o d g ins; ex-
ecutive, Mike Bobor Jr., Da-
vid Lippert, Tom Kestle,
Nancy Kestle, and Larry
Armstrong.
The first dance of the
season was held Friday
night, with an attendance of
between 250-300. Music was
provided by the Fortune
Tellers" of London. During
the evening 10 top records
were given as prizes. All
the officers were much
pleased with the outstanding
successof their first dance.

62nd annual meeting in St.
Andrew's Presbyterian
Church at Beechwood last
Tuesday.
Mrs. Murray H od gins,
Mrs. Sheridan Revington and
Mrs. Ron Crozier repre-
sented the Lucan branch.
Mrs. George Zavitz pre-
sented the slate of officers
and Miss Lois Smith, Mid-
dlesex home economist, con-
ducted the election of offi-
cers.

president to succeed Mrs.
Murray Hodgins of Lucan
who was president for the
past two years.

The Lucan Businessmens'
Association held its monthly
meeting Thursday May 20
at the Arena. The evening
was spent in a discussion
period with regard to signs
and membership dues, a
price being set for the lat-
ter.
All 13 present paid their
dues and each took a list of
names to canvas in regard
to Joining the association.
Those present felt that more
members would be able to
do much good for each other
and the village in* general.
A notice will be sent be-
fore the next meeting and the
secretary requests that each
receiving the same, will note
the change in place of meet-
ing (for this meeting only)
as it will be informal owing
