The Evening UCW meet-
ing was held in the school-
room last Tuesday with the
leader, Mrs. R. W. Stutt
presiding. Mrs. H. B. Lang-
ford assisted by Mrs. Or-
ville Jones was in charge of
the worship service.
Mrs. Erie Young intro-
duced the study book on Bra-
zil.
AFTERNOON UCW
The afternoon UCW meet-
ing, convened by Mrs. Mur-
ray Hodgins met Thursday.
The worship service was in
charge of Mrs. Jim Lockyer.
Miss Violet Saunders of
London as guest speaker told
of her experiences as a mis-
sionary in Trinidad. She was
introduced by Mrs. Alma
Price and later thanked by
the convener.
It was announced that the
order for bulbs deadline was
August O.
Members of the unit went
on record as being in favour
of contributing 24 per
member toward furnishing
the lounge of Westminster
College, as a 40th anniver-
sary of Church Union pro-
ject.
It was announced Mrs. Ba-
sil Romphf of Parkhill would
be a guest at the June 10
general meeting and that
Rabbi Kirshenbawm would
be guest speaker, speaking
on the Jewish Faith.
Patches were given out to
be made into quilts for the
bale and aprons and other
articles for the bazaar.
Misses Reta Chown and
Doris Weir were the lunch
committee.
SUNDAY SERVICE
Mr. David W. Blair, astu-
dent at Waterloo Lutheran
University in Arts and Psy-
chology, and an active work-
er in the Young Peoples'
Dept. of the OTC, was the
guest speaker at the 11 o'-
clock service.
Owing to the centennial
service in the Clandeboye
Church next Sunday there
will be no service in the
Lucan Church.
