rich brown with muted oranges for highlights. Wood panelling is in antique elm. Each
room has its own complete bath, separate outside entrance plus access to an interior
corridor leading to the lobby.
First lounge
for Lucan
The cocktail lounge, the first in the Lucan area, features
comfortable captains, chairs, a raised back gallery and rich
red carpeting wall to wall. Chandeliers are made of wagon
wheels mounted with lamps reminiscent of coal oil styles.
The lounge seats 183 people at tables and bar.

flanked along the back for
easy access by car. Each
has its own door so that
lodgers may enter without
going through the body of
the hotel. A centre hall leads
to the lobby in the middle
of the building.
The lobby is strategically
located in the centre with all
activities revolving around
it for control. The dining
room and cocktail lounge are
under the high gable. roof at
the front.
Special accoustical effects
have been created so that
sound cannot travel between
one part of the building to
another.
The cocktail lounge seats

snack bar 30 with 4,000
square feet banquet facilities
in the basement for about
400.
