Sunday, June 6 Clandeboye
United Church will celebrate
the hundredth anniversary
1865-1965.
At the morning service at
11 am the special speaker
will be the Rev. Robert B.
Gumming, pastor from 1948-
1950. His subject will be
The Church From Genera-
tion to Generation.
The Lucan choir will sing,
also Clandeboye Young Peo-
ple.
The Rev. G. W. Sach has
planned that the service at
the Lucan United Church will
be withdrawn so that memb-
ers may attend.
At the 8 pm service the
Rev. Stanley R. Johnson will
preach on "A Religion That
Works". Mr. Johnson was
pastor from 1933-1939. The
choir of EUB church, Credi-
ton, will sing.
Sunday, May 30, the Unit-
ed Church had as a guest
Mr. David W. Blair, who
represents the OTF, He has
been an active worker in
Toc Alpha the Young Peo-
ple's Department of OTC.
He is a student at Waterloo
Lutheran University. His
home is at Waterford.
WA AND GUILD
Mrs. Wilfred Cunningham
entertained the WA and Guild
members of St. James
Church Thursday afternoon.
President Mrs. Andrew
Carter conducted the WA
meeting and gave a paper on
"God's Realities". Mrs.
Karl O'Neil gave the dean-
ery report. Mrs. Jim Cun-
ningham read the scripture.
Mrs. Wilfred Cunningham
sold huckleberry, salvia and
tomato plants, the proceeds
for the WA treasury.
Mrs. Bob Latta presided
for the Guild meeting which
followed. A date for the Sun-
day School picnic was set
for July 8 at Riverview Park
Exeter.
