Mr. Gray Knapp, principal at NMDHS explained the diversi- fied occupations course in Strathroy H.S., which will be made available to a limited number from this area next fall. Last on the panel was Mr. Kelly Robinson, representative from McGillivray on the HS board, who spoke about costs and conditions at the higher Kirkton Community Association PRELIMINARY level. The meeting was enter- tained by Miss Christine Dixon, a Grade 3 pupil, who played two piano selectionS. Mrs. Jack Dorman read the Parents Code of Ethics and the scripture was read by Mrs. Irwin McAlpine. Business was in charge of the president, Mrs. Harold Mawson. The slate of officers for 1965,- 66 was presented by Mrs. Lyle Steeper. President is Mrs. Geo- rge Glendinning; vice-pre* sidents, Mrs. W. J. Amos, Mr, Irwin McAlpine; secretary, Juvenile Contest Members of McGillivray Home & School Association had their questions regarding edu- cation costs answered by a panel of experts at their May meeting. Moderated. by Mrs. Ronald Latta, the panel showed how the education tax dollar was spent in McGillivray Town- ship. Mr. David Henry, secretary- treasurer of McGillivray Cen- tral School, gave specific costs for operatiag the school in 1964. Mrs. Murray Hamilton, the principal, explained how the amount spent for supplies was calculated and what each child received.
