The Happy Doubles Club
meeting was held Wednesday
evening with a good crowd in
attendance. Mr. Murray Daw-
son led in the worship service
assisted by Mrs. Murray Daw-
son and Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Stewart.
Mrs. Dawson introduced the
guest speaker Mrs. Beth Batten
of Exeter who spoke on cone
Robe". Mr. Jack Stewart thank-
ed the guest speaker.
The trip was discussed and

The Crediton WI meeting was
held Tuesday evening April 20
in the Community Centre with
President Mrs, Lorne Hodge
conducting the business.
It was moved to hold abarbe-
cue in August. The new year
will see three groups instead
of the previous four.
Voting delegates to the Dis-
trict Annual to be held in Zur-
ich, May 18 were Mrs. Lorne
Hodge, Mrs. Earl Neil, Mrs.
Bruce Shapton, Mrs. W. D.
Mack. A number of ladies volun-
teered to look after the cancer
canvas within their own areas.
Mrs. Hodge reported on the
District Board meeting. She
stated that the County Rally was
to be held October 4 in East
Huron also that the area con-
vention was to be held in Strat-
ford November 2 and 3.

sang a solo.
Guest speaker was Mrs. Gil-
bert Beecroft of Belgrave, pre-
sident of Huron Presbyterial
UCW. Mrs. Beecroft was also
a. delegate to the general con-
ference at Windsor. She gave
a very informative talk which
was enjoyed by all.
Mrs. Clarke Kennedy pre-
