Rev. Harold Snell of London,
guest speaker at the UCW An-
niversary service, delivered an
inspiring sermon to a full
churgh Sunday afterneon.
'Maintaining The Mission"
was the subject chosen by Rey.
Snell and he based his thoughts
on the text ',Never lag in Zeal,
be aglow with the spirit, serve
the Lord", He stressed the
importance of the work of the
UCW in the life of a church.
Rev. Guest conducted the ser-
vice. The choir provided special
music and there was organ,
glockenspiel and piano accom-
paniment.
Among the many visitor s
were a large number from Ja-
mes Street Church, Exeter, who
had the pleasure of hearing and
meeting their former minister
and his wife.
Mrs. Roy Harrison was hos-
tess at her home on Tuesday
evening of last week for a baby
shower honoring Mrs. Norman.
Tripp, There were twenty two
pests in attendance.
Mr. G. W. Parks attended
the funeral of his sister, the
late Mrs. Stanley Whitmarsh
in 'Wallaceburg Wednesday of
last week.
Several Masons and their
wives attended the South Huron
District ladies night in Clinton
Wednesday of last week. Rev.
H. Rodney of St. Thomas was
the guest speaker.
Mrs. Morris Riddell and fam-
ily of Burlington spent a few
days last week with her father,
Rev. D. M. Guest.

who was an Easter weekend
visitor with her son, Mr. &
