The Elimville Youth Fellow-
ship Club held a sunrise service
at Elimville United church Sun-
day morning followed with the
Easter breakfast served by the
girls. There were twenty-six
members present.

Church both Good Friday and
Easter. Sunrise services were
held in both churches Easter

am service in the Lutheran

At the '7:00 am service in
the EUB church the Youth Fel-
lowship was in charge. Robert

The first 4-H Homemaking
Club meeting of Elimville Club
No. 2 was held Monday evening
at the home of Mrs. James Mil-
ler. There were twelve mem-
bers and two leaders present.
The new officers were elect-
ed. President is Miss Ava El-
ford; vice-president, Mary
Ellen Prance; secretary, Miss
Car ol Bell; press reporter,
Miss Brenda Skinner. Leaders
are Mrs. James Miller and Mrs.
Freeman Horne. The club was
named "Elimville Green
Thumbs".
The next meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs. Freeman
Horne May 3 at 7 o'clock.
Discussion was on values of
home gardens, planning a gar-
den and where to plant it. Also
why plant flowers and where to
plant them. The hostess served
lunch at the close.
MARK ANNIVERSARY
A family gathering was held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Lloyd Fahner Sunday, in honour
of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baker's
59th wedding anniversary.
Four grandchildren and
twelve great grandchildren
were among those present. Mr.
and Mrs. Baker were presented
with a chair.

The Grand Bend WI held the
annual meeting Thursday in the
town hall with Mrs.RoyMorenz
presiding. Roll call was to name
a responsibility for an Institute
member. The motto, Institute
is like a ship, everyone should
take a turn at the wheel, was
given by Mrs. Vern Ridley.
Delegates were appointed for
district annual to be held at
Zurich. Mrs. Emery DesJardin
is to plan In Memoriam ser-
vice.
Reports were received from
all conveners. Treasurer's re-
port showed a balance on hand
of $188. Mrs. W. Gill gave a

Sunday, the occasion being the
50th wedding anniversary of
Mr. and Mrs. Hillson Grose,
Denfield, parents of Mrs. Hod-
gins.
The dining room was decorat-
ed with gold and white stream-
ers and the table was centred
with a three-tier wedding cake
with gold decorations. A chicken
dinner was served.
Guests included Mr. and Mrs.

and Mrs. Gwen Grose and family

LADIES AID
The Zion Lutheran Ladies
Aid meeting was held Wednes-
day, April 14, with group 2 in
charge of devotions, program,
and lunch. Margaret Merner
played a piano solo and Mrs.
Charles Martine and Joanne
sang a duet accompanied on the
piano by Janet Miller.
Rev. Wm. Gatz had as his
topic, ',Discipleship".
Mrs. Leonard Schenk, presi-
dent, dealt with the business.
The mother and daughter ban-
quet will be in the form of a
potluck supper in May. The Aid
will cater to two banquets in
May in the community centre.
