visits Seaforth
For a grand finale of the
1964-65 square dance season
the "Huron Scalper" square
dance club of Seaforth are spon-
soring one of the most popular
square dance callers in the
world, Dick Leger of Warren,
Rhode Island, for a weekend
"Pow-Wow".
He will call for a dance on
Saturday evening in the Sea-
forth District High School to
which dancers from as far away
as Edgar, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
have registered. On Sunday af-
ternoon Leger will conduct a
workshop for both callers and
dancers.
He has been very successful
in the calling field and his
workshops in other parts of
the world have been attended
by callers who are now becom-
ing popular. Leger records for
the torop" label and has pro-
duced many of the classic sing-
ing calls that are so populax
with modern square dancers.
