a mission tour to Africa. Mrs.
Breimer, who was attired in
native African costume, shewed
slides of the missions„ hospitals
and rural areas she visited.
These depicted the progress
and hope of the African people.
She was thanked by Mrs. Ralph
Weber.

president, presided for a brief

at the M. Box and Sons funeral
home, Parkhill, on Wednesday,
April 7. Interment was in Grand
Bend cemetery. A Masonic ser-
vice was held at the funeral
home Tuesday evening.

show pictures of the Indian
Mission in Manitoba. Lunch will

ARTHUR BROPHEY
Arthur N. Brophey, 70, died
in St. Joseph's Hospital Sunday,
April 4, having suffered a heart
attack a couple of weeks ago.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Vera I. Billing, three
daughters, Mrs. Ed (P e a r I)

Bruce (Doreen) Wilson, Thed-
ford; Mrs. Donald (Karen) Mc-

Program topic for the meet-
ing of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority
Tuesday evening at the home
of Mrs. William Brock was

Guest speaker was Mrs. Di-
anne Lockie of Byron who spoke
on the planning and layout of a
flower garden, the planting, and
the care and sprays for control
of insects. She showed slides
of her own garden.
Plans were made for the
Founders Day banquet April
27 and the Mothers' Day tea to
be held at the home of Mrs.
C. S. MacNaughton May 5.
Mrs. W. J. Andrews and Mrs.
E. Bileski assisted the hostess
with lunch.

Town Hall with 25 in attendance
and all branches represented.
The plans for the 1966 Inter-
national Plowing Match were
discussed and Mrs. Jame s
Drummond was named chair-
man over all committees.
Mrs. Arthur Rundle, Exeter,
displayed a sample cover for
the district Tweedsmuir history
and gave a short talk, Mrs.
Drummond, retiring member
of the District Tweedsmuir his-
tory committee, was replaced
by Mrs. Fred Beer.
South Huron District Annual
will be held in the Evangelical
Church, Zurich, May 18. Mrs.
Drummond chaired the meeting.
