that awaits us, the life and
death questions that have been
with mankind from the begin-
“Automation will not solve
them. They will travel with us
on any round trip ticket we may
one day travel on to the moon”.
,‘The quest of the soul for
meaning, the hunger of the heart
for lovb, the struggle of the
mind for ultimate truth — these
go on''.
"The man in orbit still car-
ries with him all our human
anxieties, all our human sus-
picion, greed, fear, hatred and
despair".
That quest for meaning, that
hunger for love, that struggle
for ultimate truth can't be ans-
wered by pointing to something
so general as the Bible. It can
only be answered by the One who
broke into our life in Jesus
Christ and showed the depth of
His caring for us in His Life,
Death and Resurrection.
I am convinced that we don't
need the scared apologetic
Christians who feel that they
have to frantically protect God.
He needs no protection no
self-appointed guardians. He
has revealed enough of His
sovereignty that we need not
worry about what new discover-
ies will do to Him.
Our notions of the Bible may
well be turned upside down. But
Jesus Himself did that when He
said, '"But I say unto you . ..".
We can be assured of one
thing — nothing will change His
Loving gracious nature which
was seen in the face of Jesus
Christ. Leave your porch light on Monday
FOR THE MARCHING MOTHERS One good thing about silence
