TAKE NOTICE that the annual meeting of producer mem-
bers of the Middlesex County Hog Producers' Association
will be convened at the hour of 1 p.m. E.S.T. on Thursday,
February 4, 1965 at the Ilderton Community Hall in the
village of Ilderton for the purpose of the proper business
of the annual meeting, the election of officers, the election
of voting representatives. Between the hours of 2:00 o'clock
and 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon of the above mentioned
date, NOMINATIONS for county committeemen under the
Ontario Hog Producers' Marketing Plan will be held. Tick-
ets available from Township Directors $1.00.

ment during church service
Sunday morning with 28 mem-
bers present.
The theme of the meeting
"Never Losing a Chance for
Kindness". Mrs. Ted Insley
read a chapter from the study
book, Arlene Johns read a
poem and Mrs. Laverne Rodd
read a Bible story. Business
was in charge of the president
Shirley Timms.
Graduation exercises were
held for Karen Rodd, Gordon
Robinson, Ronnie McNaughton
and Danny Jaques. First year
pins were presented to Karen
Insley and Shirley Timms, sec-
ond year bar to Janet Tomlin-
son, third year bars to Linda
Tomlinson, Karen Rodd, Carl
Langford, Paui Parkinson;
fourth year bars, David Strahan,
Murray Insley, Bobby Strahan;
fifth year bar, Gordon Robin-
son; sixth year bar, Jeanette
Hooper.
The Messengers also pre-

bers of the Huron County Hog Producers' Association will
be convened at the hour of 1 p.m. E.S.T. on Tuesday,
February 2, 1965 at the Legion Hall in the town of Clinton
for the purpose of the proper business of the annual meet-
ing, the election of officers, the election of voting repre-
sentatives. Between the hours of 2:00 o'clock and 3:00

If an election is required for committeemen, it will be

The Annual Meeting of the
Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire
Insurance Company will be held
in Farquhar Hall, Farquhar, on
Monday, February 1, 1965, at
2 p.m., for the purpose of re-
ceiving the reports of the Di-
rectors and Auditors for the
past year, for the election of
two Directors for a three-year
term and one Director for a
two-year term, election of Au-
elitors, consideration of pro-
posed amendments to the Com-
pany's By-laws and any other
business that may be in the
interests of the Company.
The Directors whose terms
of office expire are E. Clay-
ton Colquhoun and William H.
Chaffe, both of whom are elig-
ible for re-election.
Milton McCurdy who was re-
elected Director in 1964 re-
signed from the Board in Oc-
tober, 1964, and Raymond Mc-
Curdy was appointed to fill the
vacancy until the February 1,
1965 Annual Meeting. Raymond
McCurdy is eligible for elec-
tion for a two-year term.
The General By-laws of the
Company have been amended
to date and adopted by the Board
of Directors and will be pre-
sented to the members for con-
sideration and approval at the
February 1, 1965 Annual Meet-
ing.
The major changes proposed
in the By-laws are:
Article No. 1-Object:
amended to read as follows:
"Subject to the power granted
under the charter, the purpose
and business of the Corporation
shall be the insuring, under
any class of insurance for which
a company writing on the Pre-
mium, Note may be licensed in
Ontario, of risks upon agricul-
tural property or property that
is not mercantile or manufac-
turing or hazardous, as pro-
vided in Part VI of the Cor-
porations Act of Ontario."
The present Article No. 1
limits the purpose and business
of the company to insuring
against fire and lightning.
Article No. 33 - Remunera-
tion. The proposed change is-
that the President shall be paid
$100.00 (one hundred dollars)
annually in addition to his fees
- instead of $50.00 (fifty dol-
lars) annually, this to take ef-
fect from January 1, 1964.
