A, huge crowd attended the,
annual skating party sponsored
by the Paper Staff, From 8 to
9 o'clock, all those who dared,
put on their skates and skated,
While those people who were
less adventurous just sat and
watched the others with envy.
The broomball game which
followed, again proved very ex-
citing, as the students defeated
the teachers 1-0, The winning
goal was scoredby 13ob Beavers
after a pass from Paul Mason.
Before goalie, Mr. Wooden,
noticed it, the ball was in the
net.
Playing on the teachers' team
were the pros, Mr. Bogart, Mr.
Little, Mr. Nathan, Mr. Wood-
en and Mr. Rickert as well as
the newcomers Mr. Shaw, Mr.
Brown and Mr. Rishea. A for-
mer teacher at our school, Mr.
Paul Hamilton, also joined in
the game.
The dance concluded the
evening of fun and records were
spun by the school's most popu-
lar disc jockey, John Snell.
The gym was decorated in a mu-
sic theme, The br o om ball
trophy, donated by Mr. Dixon,
was presented to the captain of
the student's team, Hank Gosar,
by Mr. Nathan.
Rumors are circulating that
after losing the broomball
game, the teachers are now
challenging the students to a
basketball game.
