William Sitter was returned
as. reeve. of Rosanquet Townr,
ship in an election, held Mon-
day, defeating his only opponent,
Bruce .Scptt..
Sitter polled 535 ballotsnotn,
pared to the 470 by Scott, who
the sitting deputy-reeve of
the township,
The other members of noun,
cil 'were acclaimed. to office
at the nomination meeting. Wil-
fred Legue moved up from his
council post to fill Scott's po,
sition as deputy-reeve and the
three council members are Carl
Rood, Sid Fraleigh and Roland
White. The latter two were
sitting members while Rood is
a new member.
An election was also held for
the two positions the township
has on the new school board.
They will be joined by one
member from Arkona and one
from Thedford under the new
legislation coming into effect
on January
Gerald Edwards topped the
polls with 462 votes and Robert
Love gained the other position
with 310. Howard Brand and
John Cates were defeated.
All four men were sitting
members of the two school
areas presently set up in Bos-
anquet.
A total of 1,025 voters turn-
ed up to cast ballots. There
are 2,700 eligible voters.

Miss Joan Hodgins along with
other students of Grade 11 of
St. Marys Collegiate travelled
by train Friday to Toronto and
toured the Museum, Parliament
Buildings and Fort York.
William Samplonius, small
son of Mr. & Mrs. Gerald
Samplonius is ill at his home
suffering from an abscess in
his throat.
Miss Cora Nuttycomb and
Mrs. Myrtle Shorthill, London
visited Sunday with Mr, & Mrs.
