The girls at SHDHS have
shown their superiority over
the boys in the Christmas ex-
aminations, but only by a very
narrow margin.
A report released this week
byPrincipal H. L. Sturgis shows
that girls placed first—or tied
for top spot,-in 109 subjects
in the various grades.
Boye names were listed as
placing top or tying in 97 sub-
jects.
June Bender, RR 2 liensall,
copped individual honors as she
placed first in seven subjects
in her 9E class. She failed by
two marks to come first in
history, and this would have
given her top spot in all her
eight subjects.
