Miss Kay Horne of London spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Freeman Horne and Ray- mond. Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Smith and Penny of Crediton visited Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Colin ,Gilfillan and Barbara Ann. Top 4-H citizen Ken Gemmell, RR 2 Kippen, was awarded the Elston Cardiff Citizenship Trophy at the annual Huron County 4-H Achievement Night held in Wingham, Friday. The award is made on the basis of outstanding 4-H work and also for home and community ac- tivities. The 20-year-old youth has an excellent record in 4-H work for the past eight years and has been very active in community and Junior Farmer work as Well. Drysdale, Hen- sall, has been awarded the Vis- count Richard Bedford Bennett Scholarship of $200 for work in forestry at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, during the past yeas.
